Love that the air conditioner worked great and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Room was bog and had everything we needed.

The room had hair in the shower, the toilet was nasty stained, some of the towels had holes in them, grout in the tile floor was black, gaps in the door, curtains that didn’t block out the light. The traffic noise was loud. The hotel was convenient to downtown and the trolley stop. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

All the complaints about the train are super light sleepers.. we LOVE trains and the 3 that passed while we were there were almost so quiet we missed them. . There is a slight rumble but no whistle because no intersection.. and if you love trains they actually have a small sitting area out back where you can relax and just enjoy them. Great staff, very close to everything. We'd absolutely recommend and stay again.

The guy at the front desk wasn’t very friendly as you would expect. They were selling Trump stickers at the front desk. Why would a hotel be selling something like this? I found it in poor taste and offensive.

We had to wonder if they gave the rooms with a view of a cement wall across the unlit breezeway to the people who booked through Expedia. The room was clean and had a 60” flatscreen TV with a wide dark stripe down the middle of the screen so the image on the screen was shadowed a bit. The front lobby people were courteous and check in was easy. The room phone was circa 1982 with most of the buttons removed. One was left wondering if the paint job was intentional retro 1960’s, half sky blue, half chartreuse green. The shower was modern, clean, with rain shower head and the bed was very comfortable. The pool looked very nice, we just didn’t have time to enjoy it. As far as the noise, the echo of the breezeway made it very loud with anyone passing by and talking, so late night arrivers could easily disrupt your sleep. If you plan only on being there to sleep for a few nights it might be fine. Ask for a room facing the river and not in a hallway.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately we only have a certian amount of King Bed rooms. As our king rooms book up we assign them as they come into the system. We do not purposly assign Expedia patrons to any rooms. Thank you for making us aware of the line in the screen as we will replace the tv immediatley . We work very hard to accommodate every guest to an enjoyable stay

The hotel was great, the room was really clean and spacious and so comfortable. Having the area at the front where you could pick up snacks or a drink was really useful . The shower was fantastic! We were in a room at the back and the first train that went past was unexpected,so be aware there could be a little noise, but after the first one we didn't have any other problems. There were other places to eat nearby too The day after out stay we walked into the town and spent a few hours exploring, as the staff had allowed us to leave the car there until later in the day. We would recommend this place and if I'm back in this direction I would be very happy to book again

They messed up our registration. I paid for a top level king bed room. Then I called the hotel to add a second night in the same room, which they said was no problem. When we got there they didn’t have my second reservation and thus my wife and I had to settle for two double/queen beds in the backside of the hotel at full price. Won’t be staying here ever again.

Unfortunatley the original room had issues that needed to be fixed therefore the room could not be rented and was taken out of inventory and there were no other king rooms available to give you. Sometimes things happen beyond our control and I see that you are in the front of the hotel and I have adjusted your rate which you will see upon your check out in the morning.

It is an OK hotel with a nice location close to San Augustine Town. Walkable distance to the town. Room was clean. Early checked-in which was very convenient.

It was very close to old St Augustine in a safe area next to a welcome center. Our problem was with an accessible room. the bathroom was so small I had to roll into shower to turn around and to access a horizontal bar. The bar at the toilet was vertical which is unusable for real support as your hand slides down the bar. Also, even though it was just a regular motel with parking by your room, they informed us after we arrived that there was a $12 parking fee.
