There was construction, should have been notified before. Housekeeping didn't come first day, then came right after I returned to the room after being gone all day the second day, at 5:00. "The motel is very charming and the partial ocen view from the deluxe king room upstairs was wonderful. Balcony and tub were huge. The carpet does need to be replaced with laminate or tile, as it stays very moist and leaves a lingering mildew odor which impacts air quality. In the end, the proximity to the actual beach/ocean wins it for this property, and we were glad we chose it over the newer, fancier places farther from the sea. "
