Enjoyed the cottage and bungalow. The back area was wonderful for our 2 dogs, it’s very secure. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is the lack of privacy from the window shades.

The good/bad
The cottage was very nicely decorated and comfortable except for the master bedroom. It would be fine if they would put up better window coverings for nighttime privacy when a light is on. Easy fix but they haven't done it though others have mentioned it. . The sunroom and the yard were nice. Now, for the downside. There is constant noise of engines running from very early morning through late morning from a food service trucking site visible from the home. The side of the house is only 10' from a solid concrete wall, well camoflaged, which is the back of a Rodeway Inn. Shady characters. There are trains that run almost every half to one hour. The track is so close that the windows shake and it is very loud. I was embarrassed when our company came to visit mainly because of the location. Walking to the old town is really not possible because on highway with no good walking path. Parking a royal pain and expensive. Even though I thought the cottage was really nice I would not stay there again. The itrip management company was excellent!!! They took care of our needs right away.

Great place for pets and groups!
This really is a unique property. The front house has 2 bedrooms and the detached cottage in the back has another and a full bathroom. The cottage is also well appointed with amenities like a built in cooking surface, full size fridge, microwave and Keurig. The yard is completely fenced for letting your animals out. Air conditioning throughout and comfortable furniture in the living areas. Highly recommend. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.

This would have helped …
We had no toiletries provided as stated on the info. Thankfully, we had hotel samples in our bags. The shades in the front bedroom were not adequate to keep the bright street light from shining in. We had to dress in the dark bc of the visibility through the shades. Beds were not very comfortable. We had a welcome note made out to another individual! It’s the ‘little things!!! Still enjoyed our visit.

Then place was perfect for our family, the bungalow was great for my kids and even the family dog got to enjoy the backyard. It is kinda noisy but that’s just because of the location. Not a deal breaker at all! We would definitely stay again.

The Vedder Cottage was very nice. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway! The downside of the property is the location, location. Also the sites weren’t as close as mentioned. The house and property was very clean.

Cute little cottage!
Place is adorable! Has everything you need for a quick getaway vacation. Was thoughtfully stocked with starters of things you need (like salt & pepper!) The bungalow out back is a great place for a couple to have some privacy. The only downside is that the railroad tracks are close by and there seemed to be a lot of trains!

The stay was amazing. The cottage was cozy and close to everything. The host was very quick to answer any questions. The space was clean and had all the necessities. The back yard lighted area provided extra space for cooking out and lounging with family. The free tickets to local attractions came in handy. We would definitely recommend staying at the Vedder Cottage.

Yummy fun!
The property is very nice. The home is comfortable and and well equipped. In general, I’m finding that the quality of VRBOs- in all aspects-are far better than AB&B. The house is close enough to everything you will want to do as it’s only about a mile north of major sites. I like trains and there is a track about 700 feet away- you will hear it, but not very often. The house is adorable and the bungalow in the back yard is a SUPER BONUS on this property. The area is very quiet. Be sure to visit Kyles Seafood Market, the Smokin’D’s nearby, and try the Schooner’s Minorcan dishes.

The property was lovely. Well stocked. We loved the location, it was close to the trolley. And maybe a mile to downtown area. The only downside for us was the tub. It was hard to get in and out of. There was a shower in the studio apartment, which was a great addition, but was very small. Otherwise, it felt like home. Check in and out was a breeze and communication was great as well! We enjoyed our stay there.

One week stay
The house was great for our one-week stay, and it was nice to have the extra casita for privacy. The home felt comfortable and spacious, the wifi was fast and made it easy to work remotely if needed. The back yard was also beautiful and private. Two things to note: since this is a pet-friendly rental, there was quite a bit of dog fur left from the past renters, so just a thing to be aware of for those with allergies. The property is also right next to the train tracks, which didn't bother us, but could be a concern for lighter sleepers. We would still definitely stay here again.
