This cabin is brand new with everything you'll need after a long day of hiking, fishing, riding the trails, or exploring the beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. It is walking distance from the Melstrand Union General Store where you can not only find gas but also snacks, hand scooped ice cream, baked goods (made fresh daily), sandwiches, and so much more!

Rock hounders
We enjoyed our stay. We were only there in the evenings we had campfire each night and at one one night the manager called to let us know that the northern lights were hitting and we jumped in the car, went about a mile away, and got fabulous pictures of the northern lights overall it was perfect. It was right in the middle of where we wanted to go. Rock hounding, and waterfall chasing. We would do it again.

The place was just what we wanted. Location is fantastic about halfway between Munising and Grand Marais. It was only about a mile from the Mosquito Falls/Chappel Rock loop we most wanted to hike.

Babymoon!
We went here for our last trip as a couple before we have our first baby! It was VERY DIRTY. We dusted the entire place, swept, and killed multiple insects (including a brown recluse) when we first entered the place. There were so many dust balls and cobwebs. It looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in years. Other than that, it was the PERFECT stay! We loved how close we were to the hiking trails of Pictured Rocks. Overall, we had an amazing time and a beautiful trip!!

Neat little place
Our first time visiting the upper peninsula of Michigan and this place was in a great location near alot of the waterfalls we visited etc. Only downside to this place bathroom is ice cold , definitely recommend small space heater and propane gas heat which the smell is unbearable. But overall small little place. Would stay only a few days at a time considering the no oven . But was clean quiet and would stay again.

Perfect location
This place is exactly what my friend and I needed. Perfect location to Pictured Rocks. Most of the day we were gone(We went hiking, kayaking and the sunset cruise). and came back at night to shower, eat and sleep. We also made use of the fire pit and brought some games to play at night. This place had the basics:bathroom, nice comfortable bed, mini fridge and microwave. It was clean and simple, which is what we wanted. Highly recommend especially for the price and location! Directions were spot on!

decent quarters, but nothing special. so, if just looking for a bed to sleep in, this is it. its basically a one room utility shed with a bathroom. very small and remote. there are geese and chickens at nieghboring property, which get very annoying. NO TV NO A/C Almost no hot water. Shower doesn't drain very well, so you stand in a pool of water while showering, but with the lack of warm water, you wont shower very long anyway. yard is sand, with very small entry apron, so sand will track in, and remember you are required to clean before you leave.

I wish we would have known there was no TV. When we arrived the propane heater was on and an overwhelming smell of propane was present. Had to open windows and leave for a while Bedspreads we're dirty and spiderwebs were everywhere.

This property was exactly what we needed to enjoy the beautiful area! The location was very convenient. Only suggestions would be a shower caddy so guests have some place to put their toiletries instead of on the shower floor. Also a toaster oven would be nice. Next time we visit the area, we will most likely book again!

Perfect Place for a Quiet Stay in the UP
Very cute cabin close to all the main attractions at Pictured Rocks. Tucked in the side of the owner’s property and quiet and comfortable. Only problem was no hot water in the shower after the first night, that was definitely a downer but aside from that we loved it. Also, the pet geese stopped by to visit and were adorable!!! Seeing their cuteness was one of my favorite parts of our vacation!
