Ocean Break-- Gather with friends and family in a truly magical oceanfront setting. This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is newly decorated with luxury and comfort in mind. Just a short walk to the Shelter Cove airstrip, public golf course, restaurants, pizza parlor, coffee shop, beaches, tide pools and art galleries.

The kitchen is equipped with a Sub-Zero fridge, high end appliances and thoughtfully stocked with everything that you will need to make delicious, home cooked meals.

Every room in the house is designed to take full advantage of unobstructed Lost Coast views. Natural light, ocean breezes and vaulted wood beamed ceilings make the 3rd floor open concept living area a delight. Play a game of pool, relax on the couch, turn on the gas fireplace, enjoy a family meal at the large dining table, or serve cocktails on the oceanside deck.

The master bedroom suite features a steam shower, gas fireplace, king Tempuerpedic bed with high thread count linens and down comforter. Each queen room is furnished with plush, organic mattresses, down comforters and luxurious crisp, white linens.

After a day of beach combing, hiking or exploring tide pools, relax in the hot tub on the 2nd story deck, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Work remotely at Ocean Break's home office space, equipped with comfortable desk chair, Starlink internet, scanner/ printer and office supplies.

Amazing Birthday Getaway
Such a beautiful home that made us feel as if we were staying at a spa the entire trip. The house has everything you could ever want in a home and more. Such an amazing way to spend my 50th birthday! I was spilled and definitely had a hard time leaving to head home. We would love to come back again, if possible.

Had a most perfect 4 Nights and 5 Days! The House was squeeky clean with huge windows and decks. Steam Shower and Hot Tub Great Linens. Great Host..Almost don't want to review. Fell asleep to the waves crashing. Saw whale spouts, ate fresh crab. Thank You!! This place is a class act..

The Best House in Shelter Cove
It was like staying at a personal Spa! The best hot tub we have ever used, and we are hot tub snobs. The listing also barely mentions a “steam shower” it was basically an entire steam room, most walk-in closets are smaller! The endless views on all floors made it hard to ever look away. It was a bonus to have a pool table. We brought a TV for the master bedroom, it made spending time down there more enjoyable. The biggest bonus to this house was the location! Tide pools and nice rock hiking right off the backyard. If I had to find a negative, it was carrying out small dog up and down three floors to go potty. All of the wood flooring and stairs are slick, and she hurt herself in the first 5 minutes falling down some stairs. So if you bring an older dog, bring some extra rugs/ floor cover so they aren’t sliding around.

Absolutely magnificent!
My brother said I should rate this place terrible so that it will be available for EVERY TIME we come to Shelter Cove. :) It was defiantly the most beautiful place I have stayed at (and I have stayed at some spectacular places) I have been to Shelter Cove before, but staying in this incredible home, made it that much better. We experienced mostly rain the entire trip so we could not take advantage of the outdoors much, but the home is magnificent. Friendly owners and the whole visit could not have been better!! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We can't wait to come back!

Comfortable and peaceful house.
We loved our stay in this beautiful house. It is right on the shoreline with a beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. Sunset view is amazing from here especially when you’re in the hot tub. If you want to visit some view points there are 3 of them which are very near to the house you can walk up to them or take a ride. Loved the stay. Will definitely recommend it for a gateway from the city life.

My husband and I and our two adult daughters had a fabulous winter vacation at this home in Shelter Cove. We could hear, see, smell, and feel the crashing ocean from every room, which was an incredible treat and so dramatic with the winter storms. The house itself is perfectly appointed, warm, serene and solid. We didn't want to leave!

Insanely perfect rental. Stop scrolling, you found the place!
I’ve never stayed in such a nice, well equipped Vrbo. From the linens and towels to the kitchen, everything was high quality and perfect. I mean even the chef knife was high quality and sharp. The beds were so very comfy. There is a steam shower in the primary bedroom that is so luxurious. And all of this is just a bonus because the main attraction was THAT VIEW. I was sneaking in a vacation with my partner and our 10, 16, and 24 year olds in the short window I have between finishing chemo and my big surgery coming up. So I needed a good view in case I was too weak to go anywhere, I still wanted to feel like I was on vacation. And boy did I. The waves crashing on the rocks outside was mesmerizing and so close to the house. We loved watching the sunset. We saw whales, sea lions, and seals from the balcony. It was shockingly beautiful. My kids loved this stay even though we didn’t go all that many places because they loved the pool table and the view and the hot tub and exploring the tide pools. The only thing about the house is there are like A LOT of stairs. These stairs are necessary because you need them to get the amazing views from the kitchen and living space. But I was thankful I had my kids there to run up and down with groceries and things forgotten on other floors. Also if you’ve never been to Shelter Cove, the drive from 101 down to the coast is tricky, especially at night in pouring rain and fog. But we made it and LOVED our time there.

Great visit cut short
Beautiful home right on the water. Unfortunately the host double-booked the second night of our stay so we had to leave the property ahead of our scheduled departure. The host was generous to refund our stay and rebook us in a second property they own right down the street - but it was a big disruptor to our relaxing stay and ruined our Thanksgiving celebration. The second home, while also oceanfront, was not as optimal of a set up for our group. Thank you to the host for helping take the sting off a bad situation, but I wish it hadn't happened at all.

This place is heaven on earth the views and privacy are amazing the hot tub awesome and the steam showers are it die for. The drive is full of curves but the scenery is beautiful your surrounded by large red woods and then drop down to the ocean. It was a great place to unwind and reconnect with old friends we will definitely be back as 4 days weren’t enough oh and the black sand beach was so cool.

Extraordinary location and home
This home exceeded our expectations. It is nicely furnished, with comfy beds, spectacular views, and gives you a feeling that you’re staying at your friends beautiful ocean front property. Bright, spacious, and wide open common areas, with three distinctly separate bedrooms, each with its own bath. We didn’t stay long enough to enjoy all of the amenity and attractions of the home and area, and will make it a point to return again. The host was communicative and did a great write up on the local scene. There are plenty of stairs to get to the great room, easy way to get steps in. We can’t wait to return again.

Amazing location and home
We loved every moment at this home. It is located right on the ocean where you will see the most spectacular views. We flew in and took advantage of the airstrip located across the street from the home. This was a last minute plan change for us but we couldn't have been happier. The weather can be tricky flying in since you can only fly in or out in VFR conditions. We got lucky and flew in and out with good weather. Once we arrived I immediately knew that we would love our stay. The home is beautiful and beautifully furnished and we felt very much at home. It felt more like a home away from home than a vacation rental where often corners are cut so as to not have furnishings destroyed. No such feeling here. Everything was beautiful. The entire home is well stocked, including the kitchen. The organic spices were unexpected! The hot tub provided spectacular views and relaxation. The beds are comfortable and nicely bedded. The shower with steam in the master bathroom was incredible. We enjoyed it so much that we took turns so that was the only shower used in the house during our stay. Again, it was stocked with nice products and plenty of plush towels. Marcy, the host, was easy to work with and very responsive. We had some concerns due to flying in and weather, as well as no rental car access but she was more than attentive to those concerns which was very reassuring. We hope to go back every year for a longer stay. It was the perfect place to spend time away.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
I can't say enough about how amazing this house is! Great communication texts/emails where to eat and what to do. The views are just breathtaking, the space to cook in the kitchen (stocked with spices, coffee, nice bowl of goodies, etc.), Pool Table, Hot tub and my favorite the steam shower!! I'm allergic to a lot of shampoo's etc. and I could us the Alaffia Shampoo/conditioner! The decor throughout the house is great and the beds and pillows were SO comfortable! I have a hard time sleeping and I always bring my MrPillow with me and I didn't need to use it. We usually camp here annually (we did get a spot just to have a firepit experience roasting marshmallows :)) but from now on.... we will be coming here instead! The kitchen is set up so nice with everything you need as we cooked for us and two other couples that stayed else where. It accommodated everyone nicely to eat and for fun playing pool and card games! Also they're Pet friendly and this was a plus! Morning coffee on the third floor deck is just spectacular!

The property was immaculate upon check-in. There are decks overlooking the ocean on all 3 levels, we enjoyed BBQ on the bottom patio area, hot tub with ocean views, and outdoor dining and wine on the 3rd floor deck. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, all with their own bathroom. We spent most of our time cooking and listening to music and watching the ocean on the 3rd floor. Kitchen is well stocked with quality appliances and stove. Overall, the property was beautiful with the option for indoor/outdoor ocean experience.

Perfect Family Getaway
We stayed with a multi-generational family and the home provided the perfect space for family gatherings as well as alone time. We enjoyed all of the amenities like the pool table and hot tub. Shelter Cove is a lovely small town and the folks that live there are so nice and welcoming. We hope to return again and stay at this same rental. The views are phenomenal and we saw so much wildlife. Amazing!

Family getaway
Great place. Very clean. Lot of little extras and attention to details I don’t typically find at other rental houses. Comfortable beds. BBQ is on the first floor and kitchen/living room is on the 3rd so keep that in mind when meal planning. Probably my fault for assuming it would be on the deck and not asking. Definitely would not hesitate to rent again or recommend it. The view is unbelievable.

Perfect relaxing weekend in Shelter Cove
Couldn’t have had a more terrific weekend in Shelter Cove. Came for an annual weekend of relaxation with a couple friends — what a beautiful home, thoughtfully appointed, with some surprisingly high-end touches (Subzero fridge, OLED TV, etc). The location is magical — every room has astounding views, and the access to the tide pools out front just makes things even more fun for a bit of exploration. Truly the perfect place and perfect home to unplug for a bit. Can’t wait to come back!

Restful stay with all the amenities to simply exist in the beauty of the lost coast!
The views can’t be beat on all 3 levels of this beautiful home. It’s truly a ways to get there but so worth the isolation, no crowds. Saw a whale out front within first 30 minutes, deer in yard the next and seals playing on day 3. Walking the tide pools both at low and high tide is a special treat. Highly recommend bringing in groceries and kitchen has great amenities to prepare as little or much as desired. We should have booked another couple nights!

Unparalleled Lovey Home, Views and Service
Everything stunning! We were legitimately speechless seeing the view from the top floor! We were there 5 nights and the time just flew. The beach waves and the redwoods do not disappoint. We saw a lot of wildlife (baby deers etc). The house felt like it was plopped down in a magical forest. Marcy and Kathryn were so “on it”. I needed a pharmacy and Kathryn responded in about 30 seconds. Every thing was OVER THE TOP in the best way possible. Our dogs also loved their stay… Thank you, ladies! Truly!
