The property was a bit hard to find initially, so I would just recommend they have better instructions for finding it (unless they did and I completely missed it) but the staff is what makes this hotel so great. The location is pretty nice too, near the main train station and about 15 minute walk from most attractions. The front desk was more than helpful during both the check in and checkout process. Our flight back home was at 7:00AM, and the day before, the front desk helped us book a taxi for 3:30AM and even prepared sandwiches juice for my entire family to take on our flight. Thank you for everything!

Our room was comfortable, conveniently located, and clean. If you enjoy modern or contemporary styles, this may not be your choice. However, I enjoy an older hotel with personality. The room was clean with all the amenities that a modern hotel would have. What made this hotel outstanding for me were the people who ran it. We were made to feel as valued guests by everyone at the reception desk. They greeted us everytime we entered. They took care of our personal needs of making reservations at a restaurant for my friend's birthday, they delivered an unexpected gift to her, and called for a taxi to the airport for us. Every morning we were treated to breakfast with homemade croissants, freshly brewed coffee, and choices of cold cuts, cereals, hard boiled eggs, etc. I was extremely happy that we spent our last few nights in Italy at the Hotel Gia di Vulcano.

Pros: Reception staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival and departure. Good breakfast with good service from staff on duty in breakfast room. Cons: Room was basic with the bare minimum provided with regard to tea and coffee making facilities, including providing a paper cup.

Wonderful restful place to come back to for an afternoon nap after touring. This hotel is nearby to all the important sites and that saves travel time to and from. The hot breakfast is plentiful and beautifully presented in a wide variety of favorite items. I recommend Gea Hotel for a first class “old world” experience.

I loved the location! Close to attractions, transportation, dining, everything! I really liked the manager. I think her name is Alexandria. She was there during my check in and check out and she was a doll! I loved the breakfast and there was a lot of variety to choose from. I loved the aesthetics of the hotel..old world feel and very welcoming. The room was small but it was big enough for this solo traveller. I would definitely stay here again:)
