This was a bit of a panic booking and learned the mistake of not reading reviews. There is a lot that could be improved upon at this property. When we checked in they seemed almost surprised and then after waiting whilst the host went to "deal with a pizza", we were led to our room. It was very dated, very basic, had no towels, no cups for the coffee and tea but best of all! Still had poo in the loo from the previous visitors. The website also clearly said bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast available. My advice would be pay the extra 320 and stay at Reigate Manor.

Prince of Wales - Reigate
For a budget stop over this was excellent. Lovely clean room and facilities. Right by Reigate station for anyone wishing to commute into the city. Bar downstairs was well stocked and seemed popular with the locals. Basic but acceptable food available up until 2100. Happy to return if in the area again.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Arrived at the hotel, downstairs was fine but the room was disgusting. Didn't stay the rest of the weeks booking. There was what looked like faeces stains on a pillow, dirty make-up pads left in the room it had obviously not been cleaned in preparation for my stay. The picture of the showerhead says it all. When I complained to Hotels.Com they informed me they could not get in touch with the hotel to offer a refund so I had paid 4 nights in full for a one night stay. Stick to being a pub and do not offer services for places to stay as the majority of the reviews here say the cleanliness and attitude is shocking

Lovely staff, top pub, tired rooms
The pub itself is great, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are old and basic though. Handy for Gatwick etc.

Good service, good clean room, place is a bit dated but for a budget place to stay while away with work pretty good. Staff were really friendly.

Budget accommodation one minute from the station
The member of staff from the pub, who showed us to our room (second floor - no lift - 35 stairs to climb) was a bit casual and not particularly bothered about making us feel like valued customers. There was an unused double mattress leaning against a wall in the bedroom and I had to ask to have it removed - she seemed surprised that I was so fussy about it, and said she'd get it removed. A few minutes later, young Kiera arrived at our door, having been "sent to remove the mattress" - well, she couldn't move it on her own, it was clearly a two-person task so we had to help her move it ourselves. I think the mattress was intended to be put on the bed in our room... it looked like a new mattress and the one already on our bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Pity they hadn't put it on before we arrived. No remote with the TV, so Keira was once again sent to find a remote from one of the other rooms. She was really great, running up and down the stairs half a dozen times to get us some milk and to find a way to get us a TV picture (there was no aerial in the room). She worked hard to get things right. There were no major issues - really just sloppy housekeeping standards which meant little things had to be fixed. Eventually things were put right and we were OK. Location is right next to the station but, surprisingly, the noise is not a problem. Cars and lorries passing on the road were louder. Very basic but budget-priced, as you'd expect it to be.

nice room - not very clean
Room was fine - decent size and there was a kitchen which you could use with cereals however the bathroom was disgusting - the toilet hadn’t been cleaned and whoever was in there before me had urinated over the toilet seat and there were other marks it was horrible. I arrived fairly late and only for a flying 1 night stop over so didn’t complain but suggest the owners check/ clean the toilet prior to arrivals for £80 odd for a night that’s basics. Shame as the place has so much potential - nice quiet rooms at the top of the building

Pour ceux qui aiment les trains...
Hotel facilement accessible quand on ne dispose pas d'un véhicule, vu la proximité de la gare, mais le passage frequent des trains est une nuisance...
