Historic house on tree lined red brick street of historic homes.

Quiet brick street with beautiful historic homes from the mid 1800s. 1619 College Ave is in Racine historic district. Spacious covered porch off of living room overlooks the large private fenced yard with mature trees and gardens. Enjoy the gas firepit with ample seating ! Kitchen has everything you need for cooking and an island. Get your best vacation sleep with King and Queen sleep number bed and black out shades and curtains. Enjoy Keurig coffee maker and complementary pods for morning coffee. Second floor has a screened in porch off primary bedrooms. King bedroom has a 55 inch television . Queen room has 2 televisions ( 43 and 40 inch) and seating area with large soaking tub. Help yourself to bath salts and bath bombs. Bathroom has spa like walk in shower with color changing light and blue tooth speaker. Large living room seating for 9. Enjoy reading a book, watching the birds in the yard or enjoy the 65 inch television. The house is 2 blocks from the lake and one mile from North Beach Oasis and swimming beach. Half of a mile to downtown Racine and just over one mile to the Racine zoo. Less than half a mile to Great Work Room and Golden Rondelle at Johnson Wax headquarters. Take a short walk to Lake Michigan to see the sunrise. Travel crib is available. Folding chairs and beach towels and beach toys provided.
The fireplace was a coal burning fireplace so it is not suitable for burning wood. Many of the fireplaces on this street were used for burning coal to heat the house in the 1800s.

A perfectly wonderful place
The house is well situated, just minutes from the lake and Main Street. We felt completely at home; the owners have decorated and appointed the house beautifully - every detail has been considered and implemented. Communication was easy and they solved issues (i.e. getting the drive shovelled in a snow storm) before we could even ask about them. The back porch and yard are wonderful for relaxing. We loved the house and the neighbourhood and found it difficult to leave!

Cozy Racine Weekend
We had an excellent stay at this beautiful historic home in Racine. The house was immaculate, and the decorations and antiques were a beautiful touch. Our host was very kind and flexible with check in, and even left us a Racine kringle for our stay. We will absolutely be booking again the next time we need a place to stay with space for all of our friends/family! Thanks again.

Home sweet home!
Clean, nicely furnished, remodeled home with lots of rich history, comfortable beds (found my sleep number) and a super cool back porch and back yard. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with tons of character and cool architecture. We loved the walks and runs along the lake in the parks that were just blocks away. Two thumbs up for this one!

The house was clean, beds were comfy and the owners made sure to have everything on hand that we may need. We even needed an extra folding chair for the tournament on the beach and they had that too! I highly recommend this property!

Cute home!!
We enjoyed our stay! The house is a great size for our big family. We traveled with grandparents, teenagers and a baby. It is close to a nice beach and about 40 mins to the Milwaukee zoo. It was a very nice and relaxing few days staying at this property. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are great.
