The resort was beautiful, beaches were great, food was fairly good. Staff was good for the most part. The only issue we had was there was always someone trying to sell you something such as spa services, excursions and trying to get you to become a member of the resort. They would constantly hound you on almost every corner. We came to relax and enjoy, not to be pestered at every turn to buy something. Also trying to get a drink at the bar or pool bar is a mission especially if you dont speak spanish.

I recently stayed at Ocean El Faro with my family, including a baby. The rooms looked great in photos, but had old/jammed furniture, mold, and a funky smell. It took over a day to switch rooms, and the front desk was unresponsive. Check-in took an hour, and staff didn't provide a warm welcome. Baggage and room service took a long time, and the room wasn't properly cleaned Despite tips . The resort's saving graces were breakfast options, coffee shop, pool, lazy river, lobby bar Mario and Sakura. However, the lack of staff meant long waits, and shuttle service was unreliable.. The air conditioning didn't work for a night, leaving us feeling sticky. Upon checkout, I had to wheel my suitcases from one end of the resort to the lobby and the shuttle drivers denied entry even when it was empty , which was far and inconvenient. Many guests complained about similar issues, but staff just said "sorry" and claimed there was nothing they could do. I will share my experience with footage and photos on my social media to help other families make informed decisions. This resort seems better suited for high school kids looking for good Instagram photos, not families seeking a relaxing vacation. Be prepared for long waits and poor service, and don't expect meaningful solutions or empathy from the staff. I’m all honestly I think the resort was given a face lift to mask the major issues and fool us into thinking it’s luxury.

The staff at the bar of the lazy river pool was great, especially the team of Nerson, Manuel, and Leonela; they were very helpful, kind, and friendly. The waitress, Luisa, gave us excellent service at the steak restaurant.

I booked the swim up room, the place was immaculate. The staff treats you like family. This place has tons of activities and very entertaining. The resort is huge, so take advantage of the carts driving around.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, the rooms smell horrible, the beach is horrible, the staff is usually rude, the buffet was bad they have variety of food but wasn’t cooked well… I’ll never come back here. I thought of Punta Cana as a paradise but it wasn’t a paradise for me. Choose another hotel if you want to have a great service and enjoy the beach!

The property was clean , staff was nice. The only thing I would say is that the buffet restaurant El Mercado. The staff was friendly but some off the food was ok. The dish that was supposed to be hot it wasn’t , it was cold. Besides that our visit there was good .

Let’s Start Off By Saying The Resort IS BEAUTIFUL! The Rooms Are Huge & Beautiful (Slept Like A Baby On That Bed). Food Was Great At Sakura, Route 66 Stayed Open All Night & The Buffet. The Staff.. IS GREAT! They Know How To Have A Good Time & Take Very Good Care Of You (Yudelka, Alejandro) At The Lobby Bar (Juan Carlos, Enrique) At The Pool Bar (All The Instructors For The Games At The Pool) Hate I Didnt Get Their Names (Ruth) At Sakura & (Elena) At The Casino Would Definitely Come Back But Would Be Prepared Prepared Knowing How Far From The Airport.. It Cost $70 USD to get here & everything is 30-40 minutes out (better off using uber or a car service) Good Thing They Have EVERYTHING You Need At The Resort You Don’t HAVE To Leave If You Don’t Want To. Some of the staff could be friendlier or more engaging. There were staff that were very nice as well. Some things they were out of that were listed on menu’s. Food is average for the most part. This is good for budget friendly travel but you get what you pay for…

As it was mine and my partners very first time out of the country the staff at ocean el faro made my stay feel very comfortable and easy all of the staff is very friendly me and my husband enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back!

Hermosas facilidades, amé las piscinas, tanto la de niños como el “lazy river”. Algo que no me gustó fue el olor a humedad que tuvo mi cuarto durante toda la estadía lo cual nunca pudieron resolver y el trato por parte del personal fue muy pobre. Muy pocos empleados fueron amables.

This was a very big property so getting around sometimes required waiting on a shuttle which they would just pass you by most of the times or tell you they'll be back. On my first day I was placed in a room that smelt like mold and I had to wait for hours for them to switch me to a better room. No one answers the phone when you call the front desk so forget about it. You just have to walk to the front desk then wait in line again. The food was below average we had to pick and choose what to eat. That being said the buffet was probably better than the onsite restaurants. I think there is potential for this place to be better but it would start with management addressing some of these issues.

But what truly made our stay exceptional was our butler, Jose. His friendly smile and genuine care for our family made us feel like VIPs from day one. When our son fell ill with pink eye, Jose went above and beyond, arranging for a prescription to be picked up off the resort. His attentiveness and willingness to assist in any way possible truly made a difference during a challenging time. The resort itself is a paradise, with its new and beautiful surroundings. From the pristine beaches to the lush gardens, every corner of Ocean El Faro exudes tranquility and relaxation. The facilities were top-notch, and we found ourselves immersed in luxury at every turn.
