My stay at the Hilton hotel in Puerto Vallarta wasn't quite what I hoped for. Despite the promise of everything included, there were quite a few disappointments. Firstly, the room didn't feel as clean as I would have liked, and it didn't have all the things I expected. Plus, as a smoker, it was a hassle having to leave the hotel to smoke.Even though they say everything is included, only three restaurants were open, and it was a bit chaotic trying to get a table, especially if you prefer to eat later. Also, the hotel itself could use some maintenance and updates.I was surprised to find out that not all the food options were part of the all-inclusive deal, which felt a bit misleading. And the quality of the food and drinks wasn't the best, except for the Asian sushi place.It seemed like most of the activities were aimed at American tourists, which might explain why there weren't many different people staying there. Overall, I don't think the Hilton in Puerto Vallarta lives up to its 5-star rating compared to other places I've been to. And I didn't understand why they charge $150 for a lost room key. Despite some good things, like the nice staff, these issues made my stay less enjoyable

On regards of the smoke free areas, unfortunately last year the Mexican government released a new law which prohibits the consumption of the cigarettes in public areas, otherwise the property will be penalized. We had an excellent stay. Room was very spacious. Food was good with lots of options. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Lovely location.
