It was nice to have a place the boys could be loud rambunctious boys and not disturb neighbors or others that are seeking silence when others are there for fun. The internet and cell phone signals were amazing considering that in town the same can not be said. The house offered everything we were needing for the weekend.

Beautifully secluded
Beautiful property. Peaceful and away from the hustle. Loved the creek running behind the house. Definitely an older house, but wasn't looking for grandiose. Owner obviously cares for it and has made upgrades.

Took my parents, we all loved the place. Built a fire, looked at the stars and talked. The area around has plenty of nature hikes and waterfalls.

Great location! Would not stay again.
We loved where the house was located. It was so nice to spend our time outdoors in such a beautiful spot. Lots of open green space and the walk to the gate and back was long enough to tire out the dogs We went hiking in the surrounding areas which was also really nice. That being said...the cabin was dirty. We washed everything we used to cook with or eat from. There were a lot of dead bugs under the bed. The buttons on the oven and microwave were sticky. We saw a mouse one night. The WIFI doesn't work. The dishwasher is broken. One of the larger burners on the stove doesn't work. There are no handles on the cabinets so we kept banging our fingers. We stayed for 3 nights. During that time the property owner called me 3 times, texted me 2 times and emailed me 6 times. He was trying to coordinate a time for the WIFI to be fixed which is understandable...up to a point. All that checking in on us and asking where we would be and what our plans were totally ruined the vibe of our entire trip. He could have handled it better. The WIFI was never fixed and no one ever came out to the house so I'm glad we didn't reschedule our plans. We arrived 30 minutes past the check in time and the cabin was not ready. There were no check in or out instructions provided except where to leave the keys. The cabin was fun for us....but might not be for someone else.

Peaceful Getaway
This was an awesome off the path getaway. My mother was born and raised in West Virginia. She just passed away and I was looking for a place to relax my soul, reconnect with nature, and somewhere to start my healing process. This place guided me to all of that. This cabin was a little difficult to get to in a sedan car, but it is doable. In winter weather, I definitely recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle. I also feel it could use updates and a good cleaning. But, overall a good experience.

Don't Be Fooled by the Outside Beauty
I have used Vibo many times and it has always been a wonderful experience. This time was horrible. The emails that I had back and forth with the host before our trip was good. The one thing that I did pick up on, was that she gave no contact number if we couldn't find the place or etc. She didn't even ask for my contact number. Now I know why. The house on the outside and the surrounding land was breathtaking. The inside was another story. The refrigerator had out of date stuff in it, including a jug of milk. It was a absolutely dirty. I didn't even want to put my bottled water in it. Let alone food. The freezer also smelled. Most of the light switches did not work. We finally figured out how to turn on some of the lights, but it would have been nice to have known that beforehand. The only cell reception we could get was when we were outside, which could be dangerous if we had an emergency during the night. The Wifi was also out. I was told beforehand that it was out due to a fire on the mountain, and that they expected it to be restored. I found no evidence of any fire, but will give the host the benefit of the doubt. Even with all of those issues we would have stayed. However, I decided to turn on the overhead fan in the living room to circulate the air. All kinds of wires were showing. A fire hazard indeed. I value my life and my husbands too much, so I called a hotel and we left. Forking out more money on our trip. People are not banks. I do hope our host enjoys the $999.00 that she got out of us. Maybe she will take that money and do some repairs and clean the refrigerator. I do hope and pray that she does not take advantage of anyone else. It is so sad that there are people in the world like this.

Get back to Nature
This is exactly what we were looking for. Very, very private, my pup could run free and had the time of his life! My husband and I met my mom there for the weekend. We watched movies in the evening and during the day just sat outside and took it all in. My mom and I practiced yoga out in the yard and it was so peaceful. We had rain everyday but we could still sit outside and watch the wind go through the trees and watch the rain as it came in, it was honestly breathtaking. It's nothing fancy with amenities but it's all you need to stay comfortable in a country setting without it being too rustic haha! If your looking for food near by, Culture Grill and Cantina in the Walmart plaza is amazing! We also got pizza at Nance's in Peterstown which was very good as well, both locations about 11-12 minutes from the house.

Nice secluded cabin
Overall, it's a nice basic cabin in a secluded area with pretty much everything you need. I stayed for 4 nights with my pup. What I liked: 1) the feeling of being away from it all (the cabin is in a secluded area where you do not really see or hear the neighbors or anyone else); 2) all supplies were provided; 3) the location is good for the top 3 hikes in the area; 4) it worked well for me in terms of price -quality 5) wifi worked with no issues 6) looked like the bathroom was remodeled not long ago, nice, clean and good water pressure. What I didn't like much (but not a deal-breaker): 1) the driveway (yes, you can get in and out in a sedan but it's a torture, SUV is recommended) 2) the cleanliness (it was ok, but it didn't look like the place was cleaned professionally (e.g. like pizza sauce in a microwave or stains all over kitchen cabinets)) 3) everything in the kitchen was so disorganized, hard to find, all over the place, good stuff next to the shelves with junk; 4) all the furniture in both bedrooms shows signs of aging, drawers are hard to use. Overall, the cabin can be a nice getaway for a few days. I did enjoy my time in the area. My only real pain was with the driveway.

Seclusion at its finest.
I'm not sure if this is new to Vrbo or not, but it was a first Vrbo experience for me, not to be mistaken by my first Vrbo stay, as it is not. This cabin is a cute, quaint little place that is 100 years old. So it's been around! It seemed like the family left for the summer and we entered an untouched cabin. The cleanliness definitely has room for improvement. I am hoping the family intends to put more time into it being a rental as they generate income. I was leary of cooking due to having to clean everything I touched. The bathroom was surprisingly great. I can't imagine what the other rooms would look like with the same flooring. The carpet was cringe worthy - my white socks stained from walking around. However, all things to consider I would stay again. The privacy was great and it was quiet. It's petfriendly - my dog loved the grounds and even took a swim in the little water hole.
