We had a terrible experience, in fact we are on our way home now!! I noticed someone had called me from the hotel around 3, I called back and they called to say my room was ready. At that point I had told the woman that we would be checking in late. She said there is a black box outside the office door, in the box will be an envelope with your name on it. Inside will be the keys. Needless to say when we arrived there was no envelope for us. I called the number and the girl came down to the office, while getting my room keys ready she proceeded to take care of someone else with an issue! I patiently waited for about 3-4 min. I then spoke up and said if you could give me our keys that would be great we have two dogs In the car and my older mother. I then proceeded to wait another 4-5 min before letting the girl know we were ready to get upstairs. We walked up 2 flights of stairs, which for me and my husband no big deal but add in the older mom who can’t even walk up five stairs let alone 2 flights two dogs in a dog carrier and the base of the carrier only to get up there and have to come back down because our room that was ready at 3 already had guests in it!!! The poor girl was beside herself she got back to the office and locked herself out. Now we wait for the “manager” to arrive, when she gets there we walked into the office only to find her dealing with the other guests and this point I’m beyond furious!!! We said we would like our money back we are just going to go home

When checking in, they did not disclose to me the suite I rented was under construction. I was placed in a very outdated room with horrible bed, I was not staying in the room and inquired at desk why I was not put in a suite, she then told me the suites were not available and put in another room. She then told me, her manager told her to give me a late check out to make up the difference. This certainly did not as I had paid for a suite not a standard room. The clerk at the desk should have been transparent about the issue rather than trying to cover it up. Very disappointed.

The staff at the Grand Beach Inn are amazing. They help us fix a problem with our bed, were very friendly and turn what would normally be a frustrating situation into a really good experience. The staff at the bar-restaurant were also very friendly, cordial, and make really good old fashions.

Cute rooms but one bed when I arrived and pulled comforter back the white sheet was COVERED in long between hairs. The toilet was broken so you had to reach your hand down the back to flush it each tube. The tv remote volume didn't work and was set too high so we couldn't watch TV at night.

For an older building, the room was not bad. The only suggestion I would have for the. Alcott view rooms is to put up curtains. The light from the Inns sign outside was so bright that even with the shades, kept our entire room lit up through the night. Ge there to check in before the office closes, otherwise they just put your name on an envelope with you room number and key cards in a mail box. I did not like that.

The floors made my 2 years old’s feel black. The bed made my back hurt, the “pull out couch” was a small futon that was also very uncomfortable!! The remote controls to the 2 t.v.’s had buttons that did not work. The only plus was the hot water and shower pressure was good. The location was close to beach which I liked. The Rumorz restaurant served good food. Will not be staying there again

Photos of the bedrooms from the website were misleading. Deck sagged. Door hinge wasn’t attached. The tv remote didn’t work , I wanted to drown out the voices from the room beside us. The door between the rooms didn’t seal close. The light outside of our door didn’t work. In fact only 3 out of all of the rooms on the 3rd floor worked. I feel like this property has a lot of the potential. I also realize it’s off season but if some effort and maybe a few financial investments were made you’d have a nice location.

Property is in need of an update! The mattresses where very uncomfortable, very thin, little padding and all you could feel is the springs poking through. The shower was clogged and as you took a shower it filled the bathtub us so you had to stand in! Advised a guy that was doing maintenance around the property but apparently he didn’t care.

The room was spacious, the area was quiet, and staff were friendly. My one complaint would be that we had a balcony room with a light right outside the window. The blinds did not completely block out the light, so any time we rolled over it was bright enough to wake us up. Other than that we were pleased with our stay.

Bed Graveyard
The quality of care given to this hotel is at an all-time low. It felt like a graveyard for old, discarded beds, pillows and linens that NO one would ever want to sleep on. There was absolutely no life in this establishment. I felt bad for the couple a few doors down who unknowingly selected it for their honeymoon.
