This property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are very well kept and there are adorable animals everywhere. Unfortunately, the food could use MUCH improvement. The waitresses and servers are very nice though and it’s no fault of theirs. The guy who made our reservations for the restaurants messed them all up. Luckily, the servers were nice enough to let us eat anyway. The entertainment at night is hit or miss. You’re pretty much on your own to figure out where everything is at on this GIANT resort. At other resorts, we were shown around and given info on where everything is. We ran into several other people that didn’t have a clue where to find things because you are told none of this upon check in. The gift shop on the resort is very nice and clean and for it to be on the resort, the prices are very decent and the souvenirs are good quality! We did have trouble at the front desk on exchanging our big bills for cash (we probably should’ve thought about this before leaving the states) but we went ahead and asked, they hassled us on every tear, rip, tiny little stain and wouldn’t take our money. Unfortunately that only hurts their crew who we were going to use the small bills to tip. The beach was beautiful, seaweed is to be expected pretty much everywhere but the water felt amazing and the view was gorgeous from our balcony. Our room was beautiful and clean. The housekeeping staff was amazing! Overall, I probably will not be back but still had a good time.

2nd time at this location, i felt things have gone down hill quite a bit, a lot of repairs have gone unnoticed , or they are just saving money and ignoring them, could def do with a big lick of paint at the least, I was very surprised that things looked like it was 3 star resort. The person who cleaned my room thought it was okay that he decided he would put a bag of nuts inside my toiletries bag?!. I did not think they could/should go inside personal items, had to keep asking for more coffee packs, supplied one only, yet 2 coffee cups. Concierge told us the Italian a la carte was closed for remodelling, yet the buffet servers told us, it was totally open and a table quaranteed if you bought a bottle.

Food is mediocre at best. French restaurant is good. Staff stole $100 out of our room. Walk-in closet was infested with mosquitoes. BD Experience is the worst reputable excursion company I’ve ever dealt with (they are on the property - book ahead with your travel apps) Run away. Fighting them for a refund through my credit card company that was clearly their fault. Beach is full of seaweed May-July. Bit rocky.

Just returned from a two week stay. We'd give the Princess Sunset 6 stars if we could. The room, public areas, dining options, food quality, grounds, pools, beach and general facilities were all top class. Service was also great - we had one or two very minor issues (in room coffee maker not working for example) and they were fixed almost immediately and there was a call to check that whatever it was had been taken care of and that we were happy. Liked it so much we have already booked the same two weeks for next year.

The resort has lots of animals and multiple times, they snatched food off of tables and out of people's hands. It is a beautiful property, staff were kind, and food options were decent.

The resort is very large but well maintained and staff is always cleaning something somewhere. There is always something to do with a variety of activities during the day and options for entertainment (shows, sports bar, night club) in the evening. The staff was fantastic and always helpful and to the duo in the Sports Bar who made our delicious lattes & cappucinos; thank you ! We as a larger group (13) really enjoyed ourselves and our stay. The only negative comment we had is the resort needed more help for the "swim-up" bars. Having only (1) bartender for a large pool of people created very long wait times for a drink; though koodos to the bartenders as they got it done (Thank you Humberto). Have stayed at multiple resorts around Cancun and this was definitely a positive experience for us all.

Beware!! Do Not Book Here!! I recently stayed at this hotel and from the moment I entered the property I knew we made a mistake/ie grounds were unkept/trash/staff was unkept. 1- we had to be shown 3 rooms as A) First room was being used by staff to change after hanging out at the pool and then quitting. B) was hassled by front desk when we requested new room. We were given new room, but not same accommodation C) Given new room that was adequate and they also upgraded our wrist bands But folks that’s just within the first 2-3 hours of being carted back and forth to an adequate room. 2-The hotel grounds are unkept and the pools have literally filth from the surrounding trees that some pools are not more clean than the ocean. Swim in dirty water? No thanks! 3-Carts to get around are far and few in-between. As in they have 1…. 1 bus going around the entire resort. Wear your walking shoes baby! 4-the staff is rude. Some are flat out jerks. If you ask for anything don’t expect anything in response or return if it’s not that persons job… they will literally walk on by yah. 5-management is terrible at communication and dealing with issues. If you have an issue you will be asked to email them and they will follow Up. People - please beware when I tell you that in a real time of need we were left with zero help, zero care, zero follow up. We ended up leaving the resort early and we were refunded the days we left on the table. That is how bad this place is!

This resort was lovely. Staff was amazing, food was great and property was beautiful! I have seen a couple people complain about dinner reservations, if you use the app you can book all your dinners in one night, we had no issues and ate at a restaurant every night. I liked the shuttle service throughout the property, the buffet choices, the privacy of the bathroom. I disliked the initial smell to the room, and the room furniture and decore is dated.

Beach Venue is outrageous the prices they want to charge is astronomically insane. I don't care how reach you are paying 250.00 for eggs is ridiculous. Especially when you can get them for free in your all inclusive at the buffet.

I travel with my family we enjoyed staying there. People were nice, friendly and helpful, beautiful place, I enjoyed the entertainment and you get to meet people from different from different countries, food was really good. The property was beautiful. It is a lot walking. The staff was not the friendliest and they are bad with directions to where you need to be. The 1st night I became very frustrated with trying to get around. The food is not good i would give it a 5. The drinks I would rate a 6. The rooms are beautiful.

We absolutely loved the resort and all the staff. Only thing that was disappointing was the food. Momma Mia and Miso Teppanyaki was amazing but the other la carte restaurants weren't that good. Buffett food was not good either, really disappointed with that. Taco and burger stands saved us when it came to lunch food, definitely recommend trying them out.

Dining was great a lot to choose from. Staff is very friendly!! Had a wait to get the room but in was there early. They game me.my wrist band an off to lunch. No compliant!!

I have been to Mexico many times and have been to many resorts. This is by far one of the best. The food is great but could offer a few more healthier options. Lots of fried foods. All in all an amazing stay. My only criticism was when I put the do not clean/disturb sign a staff would still do it. It was one guy in particular that also came in on his own terms to leave us a “gift”. He was clearly trying to hit on us and it was not warranted. He came in 2 times unannounced. Let me be clear, we did not feel unsafe just a bit annoyed. Other then that,everything is perfect

The property, staff and accomodations are a 5 star all day long. The beach was good with a bit of a rocky walk getting into the water but beautiful once past that. My only complaint would be the quality of some of the main food at the Buffets. There was plenty of variety, salad/bread bars were great but the quality of most of the buffet food was just not all that good and was a bit of a challenge to find something good for my entire family of 5. The A la carte restaurants were great except for the steak house. The Steak house steaks were terrible. If you want steak go to French Restaurant La Fleur as it was incredible. Overall I loved the resort with plenty of bars and coffee bars to accommodate anyone and everyone. I would strongly recommend this resort to anyone as I have been to several Sandals resorts and this was by far one the nicest resorts I’ve been to. The grounds and property is breathtaking and very well kept.

The grounds of the property have very established flora which was beautiful. We enjoyed all the wildlife that lives there and surrounding areas. The staff worked very hard to keep everything clean (rooms and grounds). They were very professional and friendly. This is a family friendly resort, we do not have any children but found that this was not a deterrent at all for our time there. This is a very large resort so it does involve quite a bit of walking however, they do have golf cart shuttles that come often if you have mobility issues. The downfall to the resort was the food - at buffets and a la cartes. It was quite bland, and nothing special, some not even very edible. We only stayed three nights as we were there for a wedding. The drinks are also very generic. Sugary, and primarily blended. Even if you upgrade to the platinum bracelet they do not have top shelf liquor at many of the bars to access. I also had never been to an all inclusive that wanted to up-charge for everything. It did not feel like a true all inclusive as there seemed to be extra fees for many things you may want (like room service). Although we enjoyed our time visiting with friends and family there we would not return.

This was this most disappointing trip I’ve experienced in a very long time. The service was extremely slow (even when tipped), management was disrespectful and myself along with others staying at the resort experienced strange behaviour with the security staff. The pool was green and turned people’s watches and bathing suits green and the cleanliness was not as you would expect at a five star resort. I could go on and on but what’s the use. It was also my birthday and even though people mentioned it to the wait staff, nothing was done. The beach was rocky and full of sea weed and it was one continuous disappointment after another! I will be sharing this information with all of my friends and family and I will never return to this resort again.

Good dining options and quality. Pools were great, beach was rockier than I recall from last visit 8 years ago. Too many people leave towels on chairs for hours and don't use them. Staff should have a system to remove them after a few hours? Way too many people smoking in public places including in the pools which was very rude. Some enforcement is required otherwise what is the point? Gift store, especially for basic products, should not be so expensive as there are no other options nearby.
