"We loved our time at Proud! The apartment was fantastic just as the pictures show. Great communication from the managers. The pool on the roof was incredible and gave us time to relax in peace and quiet. Local shops and brilliant restaurants - We Cafe and Vida Nova for brunch and dinner respectively. Great to have a coffee shop on the ground floor, it doesn’t open until 9am though. We are thinking about coming back on our way up to Phuket airport. Thanks!"

"We stayed in small 2 bedroom unit. Had all we needed including washing machine, dinner setting, cutlery, pots and pans. Pool outside room with small balcony. Booked through TropicLook, was advised we needed to pay electricity, but told agent this was not advised when booked. Told we had a limit of 20KW per day. Stayed 14 days didn't use all power. "This location is indeed only a quarter mile to the beach - if you can brave walking through the relentless red light district that is Bangla Road. We expected a shopping center, which was close by, but the hotel is actually located in an ally off Bangla which itself is a daily open air all-night bar rave, studded with countless go-go bars, strip clubs, hard-sale street vendors, and sketchy massage parlors.
