"It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too. "
"We had an incredible stay at Surf and Sand! Beautiful views and great breakfast. We took the free bikes out for the day and had a blast ..much better than walking!! Will definitely stay again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was amazing and I had the best sleep I had in ages! The only thing I would probably change if I had a choice is the fact that there’s no privacy for the bedrooms. Everything is open. But we would definitely stay here again! "
