Huge Historical Victorian Mansion in Downtown Pensacola

Travel back in time in your own private historical mansion! Wine & dine your guests in good old fashioned style right in the heart of historical downtown Pensacola just one block off Palafox St. This beautiful 4400 sqft Victorian home boasts 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms 2 dining areas a grand lobby, proper parlor as well as a comfortable TV room. Unique features such as soaring 11 foot ceilings, original stained glass windows and an ornate grand wood staircase.

The space
One of Pensacola’s architecturally significant Victorian homes. Built originally in 1904 for the Thomas W. Brent, Jr. family. It has also been a hotel, a bed-and-breakfast, an advertising agency, and many more. Previously featured in Southern Living Magazine. The house construction initiated in 1902 by Steamboat Captain James M. Flynn and was completed around 1904 when the Brent family moved in. While this home has served many roles throughout its history, many of the charming historic details remain intact today. This includes the ornate wooden staircase in the foyer, 7 original fireplaces each with a unique hand carved wooden mantel. A favorite detail are the stunning stained glass windows throughout the house!

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire home, yard, porch and deck. There is parking around the back of the home that can accommodate approx 7-10 vehicles if organized well.

Other things to note
Being a 100+ year old home staying here is a little different than staying in a modern construction home. Please be mindful of low railings and fragile elements.

I stayed here with the head party for a wedding in Pensacola. This rental served as an excellent place to relax, prepare, and facilitate travel for our out-of-town guests. The house was spacious and allowed for some great photos!

I was looking for a property that was big enough to host my out-of-town family for a reunion plus space where some can stay the night and this house did not disappoint. From the initial booking, the host was very helpful and accommodating and just overall amazing My family enjoyed every single moment at this house, we could not have asked for a better experience and honestly I cannot relay how fantastic the house and overall weekend was in Pensacola. If anyone is looking for a unique property to host family or just relax, I say book it now you would not find a better host. I’m truly happy , we made the decision to stay here. Walking into the house for the first time was waaaay cool. We loved the bar area and all the space the first floor had for folks to hang out. It allowed for groups to kind of segregate based on what they wanted to do and discuss etc. Really neat place with tons of room, nice beds, can’t say enough good things about it. Yes it is 100 years old. That is what makes it cool. It was spotless and awesome!!

Sailors Safe Haven
This property was perfect for our large group of sailors who came to race dinghies in 2 world qualifying events at Pensacola Yacht Club. It was spacious enough for friends from all across the country to have comfortable lodging when not on the water competing against each other. The host,Janna, was always available to assist when needed, and the location, 2 blocks from downtown was perfect. Parking, even for our large group, sometimes with boats & trailers was superb. I highly recommend staying here if you have a large group..

Great Pensacola Location
We had a getaway with family and friends to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. The house accommodated our large group with bedrooms for each couple and plenty of gathering space. We like the location close to the Saturday market, local pubs and museums. The beach was an easy drive. A big plus, the host recommended a local caterer who was fantastic. If you have a large group, this is the place. Is also be perfect for a special event. The host was great at communication.

Beautiful home for a 4-couples family reunion
This home was perfect for four couples to enjoy a few days together! Shanna provided excellent communications throughout, including restaurant recommendations when we asked. The house is located in a historic neighborhood of beautiful old homes. This one came with the beauty and expected “quirks” of a home from this era. Beauty: entry, staircase, stained glass, wood throughout, tastefully decorated and furnished, large light-filled rooms. Quirks: small kitchen and small (but many!) bathrooms, a few squeaky doors (but not squeaky floors). We especially enjoyed the large front porch and spent several hours each day enjoying it. Overall highly recommended and we would certainly stay again!
