Centrally located behind Pebble Beach's guarded gates is our lovely and spacious 2414 sq ft Tahoe style retreat which comfortably hosts and sleeps 8. Soaring ceilings and magnificent walls of glass look out to the beautiful Del Monte Forest. You might see a red-tailed hawk swoop by or a deer family calmly pass.

Love to golf? Captivated by the ocean? World class golf & beaches are a close 2.5 mi. away. The Pebble Beach course is the #1 Public Golf course in the US and continually tops "Best Of" lists in golf & resort venues.

The property is on a private, wooded, sloped lot. The inclined driveway is similar to parking on a San Francisco hill. On sunny days you might enjoy our deck and propane grill for steaks, burgers and smores. The sun chairs beckon you to bring lap robe and your morning coffee, afternoon tea or glass of wine out to sit among the pines and enjoy the sunshine. Our decks under the night sky are perfect for stargazing!

A two lane country road, Hwy 68, is conveniently located below our large lot. At times the buzzing of passing cars can occasionally be heard when you're outside. But most traffic sounds are muffled inside thanks to sound deadening double windowpanes and white noise machines = serene environment.

Beautiful House on 17 Mile Drive
I would absolutely recommend this vrbo. This was a great place for my family and I to visit for a long weekend. It was exactly as expected, with no surprises. Plenty of room in a well-decorated home that is very centrally located. Thank you for being responsive as well as flexible to allowing us to have an early check-out to begin exploring right away. We used this as our launching pad to biking 17 mile drive, great dinners in Carmel, wine-tasting, and exploring the beautiful California coast. Thanks again!

Great time in Monterey
We enjoyed staying at your home, so much better than staying at a hotel. It was a lovely house with lots of space. My only problem was reaching things. Cabinets and shelves are very high and our family is on the short side. House is nicely decorated and very welcoming.

Excellent haven for family during US Women's Open
This beautiful hillside home offered a cozy haven for family arriving from all over the US to watch grandniece's participation in the US Women's Open. After a long day of walking the courses, it was relaxing to "put up our feet", re-watch the day's events on TV around the sectional seating or spread out to the porch/deck. Many amenities, comfortable beds, and ample supply of towels. Family had not visited the Monterey peninsula before (except for us) so really appreciated close proximity to many sightseeing venues. 'Ohana really loved the time together! P.O. Virginia and P.M. Rick provided excellent communication that made this booking effortless!

Great vacation home
This was a great vacation home while visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium and surrounding area. The property was clean, comfortable, and large enough for our kids to have their own space. The home is inside the gated community that also serves as the beginning of the 17-mile drive around Pebble Beach. The instructions for entry were clear and easy to follow even when arriving later in the evening. The driveway is very steep but we parked in the garage at the bottom of the driveway, so it was not a problem. The neighborhood was quiet and deer wandered through on one of the days. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet getaway within close driving distance of the surrounding areas.

What an amazing home! The house is very clean, well-appointed, and so comfortable. The pictures really do not do this house justice. It is larger than I expected, and even in the smaller bedrooms, there is plenty of room to stretch out. I would point out that the driveway is steep, and a low riding car (e.g. sports car) may have difficulty. SUVs and cars of normal height should not have problems, and street parking is always an option. We also noticed some noise from the road behind the property, but it was not excessive. The owner and property manager are absolutely delightful, and are very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. This is a wonderful property, and future guests should not hesitate to reserve it. I would definitely stay at this property again.

PERFECT for our group!!!
Finding a property that works for a family of 7 that starts with a 4-year-old little girl and goes all the way up to an 82-year-old with a walker is no easy task! LOL! The driveway IS challenging, however, I knew it was coming, lol, as Ms. Meadows was a great coach on how to handle this one obstacle for my dad. At the end of our 3-night stay we were all pros. LOL!! We were in the primary suite upstairs and the noise from the road was there...I'm an easy sleeper so it wasn't a big whoop for us at all, however, if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in this gorgeous room and super comfortable bed, bring what works for you...i.e. ear plugs, white noise, you know, whatever. It isn't a deal breaker, just a heads up. It was such a BEAUTIFUL stay...we hope to return sooner than later!! **Thank you for the beautiful welcome, as well...

80th birthday celebration
Beautifully furnished, spacious, two-floor home, nicely equipped with quality items. Clear instructions from hostess, Virginia, much appreciated. She put out some beautiful flowers, a lovely birthday card, and several other birthday touches to welcome us for our family celebration! Del Monte Forest Haven of Joy
With misty sunrises and mid morning sunshine, this hillside Ocean Crest Beach House offers a genuine feeling of community; a home away from home close to everything Monterey. The home exudes eclectic and warm interiors throughout. The main floor has two bedrooms, two full baths, ample yet cozy living and family areas, dining, and kitchen. Downstairs you have a wonderfully snug kitchenette, dining area and family room, two bedrooms and the third full bath. We stayed six nights. Our family of five felt joy with our daughter's wedding. The house was immaculate and set up for every occasion. The beds were excellent. The kitchen was outstanding. The view was beautiful. Getting in was easy and checking was fast.
