Gorgeous, high-quality finishes, including 'cooling' marble bathrooms and floors as well as air conditioning and fans to bedrooms and lounge area, make this apartment truly comfortable. Additionally, all the necessary amenities for a wonderful holiday are included such as cable TV, high speed WiFi, complementary local telephone calls, fully equipped kitchen, and more. Of benefit, this fourth floor apartment is easily accessible by either a lift or communal staircase. The outdoor space at Waterside is well appointed, with guests having access to the pool deck with numerous lounge chairs and sun umbrellas provided. Waterside is perfectly located to offer its guests an idyllic setting with all modern amenities close at hand. Further, within a 5 minute walking distance of the apartment, is the famous 'The Cliff' restaurant, and situated even closer is Daphne's restaurant; a mere 2 minute stroll. A casual walk to the northern tip of Payne's Bay, will take you to the world famous Sandy Lane Hotel. For convenience, a bus stop is just a one minute walk from Waterside, with island-wide fares only BD$3.50. This condo on the beach is just heavenly. From the waves crashing, to the decor and the pure comfort you feel immediately at home. And home is how we made it. Breakfasts on the deck, fresh fish dinners from Fish, Fish and More Fish steps away, this condo is perfectly outfitted and Anne is just the most awesome host. Nothing is overlooked, the location is stellar, it’s private and a perfect retreat. I would book again in a nanosecond.

Gorgeous apartment on Payne’s Beach
The apartment was fantastic - large and beautifully furnished with comfortable king sized beds. Anne Smith is an amazing host and she had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. She was so generous in giving us advice on places to visit, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Sonia the housekeeper is lovely too. There was a welcome package of provisions when we arrived. The apartment is on the beach with a large veranda overlooking the ocean - beautiful sunsets perfect for sundowners! The pool area was great - never busy. We didn’t make it to the gym so no idea what that was like. Parking was easy. Judy on security was very helpful. All in all a wonderful place to stay and we would love to return.

In a word - EXCEPTIONAL
This is one of those times when you don't want to leave a review because you don't want others finding out about the gem you have found. But Anne was such a wonderful host we couldn't do that. Waterside 404 is an exceptional property. The home itself is wonderful - huge space, amazing patio, great kitchen, all modern appliances, etc. All in great working condition (including the AC) and decorated and maintained at a much higher level than we are used to seeing in rental accommodations (there was even a wok frying pan!). The building itself is exceptionally maintained, which means a lot for a property located on the water as they are bombarded with moisture and salt in the air. Great parking and security, truly lovely staff and a pool that can't be beat, right next to the sea. The place was so good that it made us completely lazy and we barely left the property. This was also made possible by the fact that Holetown is a super short drive away. Anne, thank you for sharing your amazing home with us. When accommodations are this good, they become one of the most memorable part of your vacation!

We had a great time in this beautiful apartment. The view from the balcony is absolute stunning! Also Paynes Bay is a perfect place, just a few minutes to nice beaches and restaurants. I highly recommend the Cliff restaurant, amazing food, perfect atmosphere but the prices are, how to say, not so nice… it was a pleasure to have contact to Anne, she is so kindly, I would loved to met her. She provided all the needed informations and I loved her writing style. Thank you Anne!

Fabulous Property and location
The property did not disappoint. Very easy check in process and clean on arrival. Being a fourth floor apartment the views of the beach and sunset are unrivalled. A quick walk to the Cliff or a hop on the bus to Holetown and beyond was very easy with the stop being two minutes from the door. Great suggestions from Anne for restaurants. One we haven’t visited before so that was a plus. We have been a few times now to Barbados and couldn’t recommend this property more highly. For us being able to sit on the balcony with a morning coffee and being free to do and eat what we want is the best. We would definitely come here again and are already looking at possible dates for next year. Maybe this time tie in with some cricket!

Lovely property on 4th floor of small gated apartment block on Paynes Bay beach with fantastic views from veranda. Great location just 1 minute drive the the Cliff / QP bistro & bakery ( great to pick up morning croissants or to have breakfast with amazing views) only 10 minutes to Holetown. Spotlessly clean and exactly as description. Great communication with Anne. We had a great time and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Our host also checked in with us from time to time to make sure all was ok. Every small detail catered for. The housekeeper was also very helpful and did an excellent job servicing the apartment.

Barbados Getaway
My wife and I had visited Barbados several times previously but our friends were new to the island. 404 Waterside proved to be a wonderful find. The unit is lovely and beautifully furnished. I especially appreciated that the bedrooms were essentially equivalent-it's always uncomfortable deciding which couple gets the "better" room when this is not the case. Anne provided a generous welcome package enabling us to put off our grocery run. We weren't blessed with great weather-uncharacteristically our first 4 days were quite cloudy with intermittent rain. The covered balconey overlooking the pool and ocean was a great asset, allowing us to enjoy the beach while staying dry. Access to the ocean is a bit tricky as there is considerable coral in the immediately adjacent water making it harder to swim there. The unusually rough surf eroded the beach making it hard to reach the water from the pool area, but a quick walk down the sideawalk heading south solved that problem. We did not rent a car but protected parking is available for those who do. Taxi fare ranged from $15USD to the Holetown area, to $40+ to the St Lawrence Gap and south. Be aware that taxis are strictly cash so bring enough if going that route. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Jordan's, a neighborhood grocery store, is located 1 mile south, and Massey, a more upscale and expensive store, 1.6 miles north. Both offer free shuttle service from store to home which was very helpful. We have rented many vacation properties over the years. 404 Waterside ranks at the top of the list.

Anne’s property is beautiful! What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Prime beachfront property, fish market less than a block away, lots of restaurants and cafes around. Great attention to detail and everyday necessities provided. Place is spacious and clean. Love our time here. Would absolutely stay here again!!

This is the second time we have stayed at 404 Waterside and it was just as good as the first time. Anne, the owner was very attentive in checking that we were happy and had everything we needed. We stayed for 4 weeks so really appreciated the full sized, well equipped kitchen which enabled us to have some home cooked meals on the balcony overlooking the sea - fabulous. The Payne’s Bay fish markets is within walking distance so we had a whole variety of fresh fish to choose from. The Cliff Beach restaurant again lived up to expectations with excellent food and fabulous view - also within walking distance of the apartment. We must also give a shout out for the Kariba bar just across the road for not only its very friendly and efficient staff but also for the little set menu they produce at a very reasonable price which was excellent. We would definitely stay at 404 Waterside again if we returned to Barbados.

The owner and the housekeeper will do anything reasonable to be certain that you comfortable and happy with the apartment. The apartment itself is exactly as presented on the site and it is very clean. Not only the apartment is clean and well maintained, but the whole property is similarly managed. The building, the garden and the exceptionally large pool are spiffy as well. It must also be mentioned that there are a sufficient number of longe chairs so to neutralize the early morning, if not nocturnal, chair's captation by anxious vacationers' towels and mattresses. Most of the time, the sunsets are splendid. This apartment as most of those at Waterside probably constitute one of the best place to enjoy them in Barbados. This year, most of the time, the waves were too strong to go in the ocean nearby (right in front of Waterside, it is never possible, but close by on the right and the left there are potentially very nice places to swim in the ocean), so we had to drive 10 m. north to Folkestone Beach. This was not tragic, but considering the cost of the rent we were a bit disappointed. This left us wondering about the value, not specifically for this apartment, but more generally about renting at Waterside. To sum up, if the price is right for you, this is a very nice apartment to rent. You will not have a single bad surprise.

Wonderful stay at Waterside 404.
We stayed at 404 Waterside for two weeks in April. The apartment was just as portrayed in the photos and met our every need. Plenty of room for two couples. Being on the fourth floor the balcony affords great views out to the sea. Plenty of action with catamarans, water skiers, cruise ships, etc. The elevator was not a concern as it was not busy and usually waiting for us. Waterside is well situated with a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. A car is not necessary, however we rented one from Stoutes and enjoyed the freedom to explore the Island. Be aware that driving in Barbados is not for the faint of heart. Buses run regularly and there is a taxi stand nearby. You can walk the beach for about a half hour to the end of Sandy Lane beach at low tide and about half this at high tide. Swimming is not possible directly in front of the building because of coral rock, but good swimming beaches are readily accessible on each side. The staff at Waterside are very welcoming and helpful. Sonia, the cleaning lady, comes in mid-week. She is very friendly and can offer great tips and information about the local customs. Our host , Anne, was very attentive, responding to queries quickly. We would return.

Five Star Experience — From Start to Finish!
Truly an awesome property. We are Marriott owners and this is the first time we’ve ventured outside of that property portfolio. And Anne spoiled us!!! Her property is meticulously clean and tastefully decorated. From the day we booked to day we left, Anne’s customer focus was outstanding. She cares about your experience and we felt at home. This property delivered beyond our expectations. Equipped with everything you need and is perfectly positioned along the west coast to enjoy the Carribean at your doorstep. It is very close to some of the best restaurants that Barbados has to offer. Looks like we won’t go to the Marriott again — as we look to book with Anne for our next vacation.

A great property in a great location
We enjoyed our week at Waterside 404 immensely. The apartment is in a great location and furnished to an extremely high quality. The 40m pool runs along the length of the apartment block and leads directly onto the beach. We hired a car for our holiday, the apartment also comes with very secure car parking and 24 hour security. There are a number of restaurants and cafe bars within walking distance. Our favourites were the Cliff Beach Bar, I’ll Tempio, De Clay Oven, & Karibu. I can’t recommend this apartment highly enough and look forward to our next visit!
