"The location and surrounding of this property is just amazing but I guess in terms of service and facilities offered the price they are charging they have a lot of room for improvement. "
"Great location on hilltop, on the way to the highest point of Ooty (Dodabetta). Quite spacious and they have lot of activities to spend time. The best thing I like the evening tea stall that serves variety of teas to pick from with light snacks. And that was on the house! The availability of choices in liquor were limited. Food quality in buffet breakfast and dinner was OK - can be improved. We liked ala-carte dishes."
"The taj is a very old traditional hotel with nice rooms with log fires if you get cold. In this covid period there is limited food but then the breakfast must improve as to not have proper coffee in a 5 star is not acceptable. the quality of breakfast does not meet 5star. The staff are very good but a bit slow sometimes for serving drinks and food."

"The property is in a good position uphill from the town (which we found dirty and disappointing ) but walkable. The room was a good size. Complimentary Afternoon tea tasting. Breakfast choices were good from the buffet. The property was well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Food was excellent, had a few initial issues with cleanliness of room but this was rectified immediately with apologies. Cold in the evening but a nice open fire was provided in the room."
"The towels were dirty, though they changed it the new ones were the same as old ones. Food was the worst part, nothing was available except tea and coffee. To top it off the manager was very unpleasant.
About the property itself, it’s placed in a very scenic location and all we enjoyed was the nature from the room sit out. That was the good part."
"This hotel is the perfect example of what it is not as being portrayed as! Photos look great, this place is a dump! Very dirty, spiders everywhere are hotel bed sheets still had hair from the previous guests take a look at the tub in the photo! Cost more money than this damn break chain with breakfast, there was no way we were going to eat that food with all the gnats flying all over the place Way over price this really isn't even worth an Indian $5 hotel. We paid for 3 nights and left after...

"Staff was hospitable but dining was not upto the mark. Food is extremely overpriced and is very average in taste. However, location of the property is very convinient."

"When I checked in the room had prior guest’s trash and the bed and bathroom smelled terrible. The couch had blood stains. Gave my laundry to be cleaned and it came back stinking like urine. The food was also bad."
