I was familiar with this property when it was the Dunes, but WOW the renovations the Hilton has done has made this property outstanding!! First off the decor, with attention to small details is just incredible and so welcoming! The entire property is well maintained and very clean! The STAFF is so personable and accommodating! HUGE shoutout to Sales Mgr Sally Foster for being so friendly and helpful! They will definitely go out of their way to answer any questions and even show you around! They’re local to the area and can give you so many great suggestions of things to do, eat, etc…beachfront and access to the beach, pool, fitness center with great equipment (even a Peloton bike)! Lots of outdoor seating to relax! They even kept the Dunes rocking chairs! Parking is easy! Great restaurant with happy hour! No negatives about this place at all!! Will definitely be back!!

Beach front, walkable to/from dining selections, parking was plentiful. The hotel was purchased from the previous owner by the Hilton hotel chain, and was renovated inside and out in 2023.

Would love to have had a handheld shower. That seems to have been removed since my last stay. There was some dog feces on the property outside and on the beach. In house dining was not a great option as they seem to be woefully understaffed at the restaurant. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful when asked a question. The cafe and coffee shop were not open and we counted on that for the morning when we left. There was no room service and In order to place a take out order I had to go down to the restaurant and wait or go go back down in 15-20 min. Not the worst thing but not what I expected from a Hilton. Also the pet fee was not listed on website and was a bit pricey it was u expected but what was I gonna do ?? The dog fee was more than half the cost of room

I am sorry that you were not treated appropriately by the desk staff, I wish I would have known when you were here so we could have corrected the problem. Our pet fee is standard across all Hiltons and I will work with the people in charge of the website to have it posted more clearly on there. There was complimentary coffee set up since the coffee shop was closed.

The facility looked quite new with nice bathroom. All of the rooms facing ocean. One down side is the room maintenance is every other day but you can any time for tiwels or others.

This is the first time my family is traveling with our fur baby, this is the first pet friendly hotel for us so we are a bit anxious. The hotel is very clean, our room is very nice with an oceanfront view and pet friendly, the whole ambience makes us feel relaxed and comfortable even with our fur baby with us, easy access to beach area for an early morning walk, jog or playtime with our pup. We will be back again.

I liked that they have an indoor pool and oceanfront views. The rooms were a nice size and clean. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the parking is easy. The breakfast service was slow and we didn't have a good dinner. The bartender gave my husband a glass with a chip in it and then second glass had lipstick stains. We waited almost an hour before we found out they didn't have the menu item I ordered and then my daughter found a hair in her food. Overall we had a great stay but unfortunately we won't be returning to the restaurant.

There was no trash emptied for the 3 days we were there. Also, we requested some housekeeping at check in and never received anything without 3-4 follow ups at the front desk. There was no sense of urgency for anything including toilet tissue and when the staff discovered you booked through a third party it was quite obvious that your stay was not important to them. Lastly, there were multiple foxes living in the dunes and the property with no warning. There were several instances when we were less than 6 feet from them as they were on the decks and walkways on the oceanfront.

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience at our hotel. No matter who you book through we always try to treat all of our guests the same. As a matter of fact the only people who know you booked through a third party would be the person who checked you and we don't disclose that information with everyone. Those pesky foxes, we had signs up and the city told us that we had to take them down as it was their responsibility to put them up since it is a public beach, so we complied with their request, unfortunately there really is nothing that we can do about them walking on the beach and we try our best to keep them off of out decks, but it doesn't always work out. I am sorry that your stay was less then stellar and I hope that you will give us another try to make it right.

Didn't get what we paid for....
It was difficult from the beginning. We had a reservation for a King-size accessible room. We arrived right at check-in time, 3pm, and was told there were no more King-size beds and no accessible rooms. We ended up in a room with 2 queen beds (felt like double). We asked about price difference, there was none, My hisband was very persistent and we finally ending up with a $20 credit! I needed the accessible room, which is why we reserved it. The clerk at the desk didn't seem to care about anything- the reservation change, the need for accessibility, etc. It was supposed to be an anniversary celebration which started off on a bad note. We love Hilton hotels, and stay there as much as possible, but we have never been treated with such disregard. We will never stay at that hotel again,

I'm sorry, you feel this way. By no means you were disregarded. I tried my best to accommodate your stay and the only rooms we had available were Q2 rooms. I did upgrade your room to a higher floor and deducted the cost of that upgrade. I was unaware that this was your anniversary, if I had known we could have sent wine or something to your room to accommodate for your inconvenience. Again, please accept my apology

I really don’t know where to begin with this place! With it being an ocean front property, newly renovated, and in a prime location… the hotel speaks for itself. What deserves to be talked about is the staff and the vibe, the heartbeat of any establishment. The staff is NOTICEABLY personable, friendly, and accommodating. From the front desk, managers, housekeeping, and restaurant staff.. they are all top tier. It almost has bed and breakfast vibes, you feel like the only guests! They remembered us, from just a short stay around Christmas. That just meant a lot. The expansive back porch feels like home, easy access to the beach, clean rooms, and awesome amenities! I just can’t say enough good things about the place. Thank you OC Hilton Garden Inn, we now lovingly refer to you as “our little beach house”. Thank you for being better than the rest!

Not Worthy Of The Hilton Name
Could have stayed somewhere much cheaper for the same service and comfort but got sucked in by the “Hilton” name. When we checked in their computers were down so they couldn’t confirm my payment method but said they would call me once they get their systems running. Well, I got that phone call at 10PM when I was sleeping. Shampoo/ Conditioner bottles don’t get restocked between customers so mid shower I found out the condition was not replenished so I had to wash my hair with no conditioner. The rooms were no smoking but the smell of weed reeked through the hallway and into our room. Customer service didn’t care and showed no interest in any of our concerns.
