As you reach the western end of the district, practice your swing on the stunning terrain of the Ocean View Golf Course. The fairways are beside Community Beach Park, where you can rent watersports equipment to take out on the bay. Get a glimpse into the history of the neighborhood through the exhibits of the Ocean View Station Museum. Relax at Ocean View Beach Park or find shade beneath the trees at the back of Sarah Constant Beach Park.
Walk out along the Ocean View Fishing Pier for fishing, watching the sunrise or sunset or dining at the restaurant over the water. Stay at one of the rental apartments beyond the back of the beach to enjoy unforgettable views of the bay as lighting changes through the day.
The district overlooks Chesapeake Bay, running along the northern edge of Norfolk. From the city center, travel by bus north to the neighborhood in 45-minutes or drive the 9-mile (14-kilometer) journey in about 25 minutes. Explore the surroundings for other interesting attractions such as the Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Norfolk Naval Station.
