Xanadu is the closest you can be to the ocean without taking a cruise vacation. As you arrive on location, driving over the bluff, you are confronted with a panoramic view of water. This exclusive custom (ICF) constructed property comes with luxury appointments both in and out. Great for those who want to relax on the New Brunswick quarried slate patio watching I fishermen directly out front in the early morning, whales, seals and eagles during the day or Hawaiian like sunsets, shooting stars and satellites during the night. To the discerning chef, the kitchen has it all. If swimming is your thing, the water at the beach has been termed the 'Warmest North of the Carolina's'. We now offer unlimited high speed fibre-op internet service, which was recently made available by Bell to the area.

The surrounding area is great for the active individual interested in water sports, hiking at Cape George(lighthouse site which inspired Robert Munsch book of the same name) or cycling around 'The miniature Cabot Trail' of the Cape.

The town of Antigonish, site of Highland Games and St. FX University, is only 15 minutes away. Here you can access any amenities you may require. The town also hosts an 18 hole golf course. For the serious golf enthusiast, the world class Cabot Links Golf Course is a 90 minute scenic drive away.

Beautiful stay with a panoramic view
First, just a beautiful place inside and out. As my wife and I like to cook, we can say this was the best equipped kitchen we've cooked in, and you can watch the sea as you do it. We had a great time relaxing and reading, watching the lobster boats at work.

A little slice of heaven
Pictures simply do not do this place justice. It is truly a piece of heaven here on Earth. Paul and Heidi were gracious hosts, the house is beautiful, the view is even better, and we absolutely loved Enzo and Bella, their dogs, visiting often! The house is well stocked with what you need to cook amazing meals and there are blankets and comfy beds, and towels galore. We travel a lot and have 2 kids in wheelchairs, and this was the most comfortable we have ever been in a home. Such a great time! We hope to return in the future to this paradise and appreciate the hosts for their kindness!

Spectacular!
My husband and I spent an absolutely beautiful long fall weekend at Zanadu cottage. The ocean views are spectacular, the cottage immaculate both inside and out. Comfy and cozy. We were greeted first by Bella and Enzo (the family pets) and then Paul and Heidi. A very warm welcome. We absolutely loved this place! The View is absolutely gorgeous! The cottage has everything you could ever want….from a perfect seating area outside where we sat every night to watch the sunset. …to the most comfortable beds ! The house was very comfortable, well equipped and obviously a lot of love and care had hone into it. View over sea wonderful. We were unlucky with the weather but with the roaring fire and cosy surroundings we relaxed completely. Kind, responsive host. We would like to return later in the year.

Cozy Winter Escape
As the wind and snow swirled outside and the sea crashed sheets of ice at the beach below, we were snug and warm with the roaring fire. We felt as though we were in a snow globe. The sunsets were gorgeous. The area is rugged and beautiful.

Xanadu by the Sea - Nova Scotia Paradise!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful sea side beach house! With a spectacular view of the ocean we were entertained each morning by the lobster fishing boats pulling up their catch. The house itself is bright and airy with decor that reflects the sea. It is both tasteful yet comfortable complete with a screened-in porch and a wood burning fireplace that was easy to use. Lovely patio, lawns and easy steps down to the beach where we took advantage of the kayaks to explore the coast. A special treat was lobster dinner which we bought at the wharf just 10 minutes away! It was a holiday we will long remember and we would love to return.

Amazing Property!
Xanadu is in all ways a superior property and greatly exceeded our expectations! The location of this cottage, on a bluff overlooking the ocean, provides not only a breath taking view, but allows for kayaking and swimming in the water below. The cottage is tastefully decorated in a rustic maritime theme with a large fireplace inside and a barbecue on the patio overlooking the sea. If you feel like cooking in, the kitchen is stocked with crockery, pots and pans--all you will need is there. I might sum this up by quoting one of many similar definitions of Xanadu--- it is a "place of great beauty, luxury and contentment". We will definitely be going back!

Idyllic coastal retreat!
Don’t hesitate - if this property is available, book it. It is better than the pictures; a well-appointed cottage right on the sea with everything you could need for a relaxing maritime vacation. When we first pulled into the driveway, got out of the car and heard the ocean roaring, all was well. Paul is very communicative and helpful and has built an extraordinary vacation spot.
