Travel Guide
Nashua
Whether you’re here to shop at its famous outlets or explore its historical buildings, New Hampshire’s second-largest city has plenty to see and do.

New Hampshire is best known for its stunning wilderness, with Nashua and other cities demonstrating New England traditions, food and history. Visit this large city for shopping, dining and historical and recreational opportunities.

Learn about Nashua’s history at the Florence H. Speare Memorial Museum. Operated by the Nashua Historical Society, this museum traces Nashua’s evolution from a mill town to one of the state’s major cities. See the constantly changing exhibits bringing Nashua’s past to life.

Walk through the forest, wetlands and fields of Mine Falls Park. This charming park offers boating, fishing, cross country skiing, biking and other recreational activities.

Old railroad tracks were paved over to create the Nashua River Rail Trail. This 12-mile (20-kilometer) trail snakes through southern New Hampshire and into northern Massachusetts, roughly paralleling the Nashua River.

Stop at Greeley Park for an afternoon picnic. For more than 60 years, the park has hosted the famous Greeley Park Art Show in August.

Experience skydiving without jumping from a plane in the simulation room of SkyVenture New Hampshire. Climb up the premium rock wall or surf in the indoor wave room.

The modern Nashua Public Library is a top destination for visitors and locals. Browse through its photos of old Nashua, use the public computers or attend a lecture. In contrast to the library’s modern architecture, walk past the gothic red-brick structure of Nashua’s first library, the Hunt Memorial Building. Enjoy a meal at one of Main Street’s many cafés and restaurants. Cute boutiques and antique shops also line the street. Later, the area’s bars provide a lively nightlife.

Nashua is famous for its shopping outlets, popular among bordering states because New Hampshire has no sales tax. For a convenient one-stop-shopping destination, visit Pheasant Lane Mall. Get deals at the sprawling L.L. Bean Outlet or head to the dozens of stores in neighboring Merrimack Premium Outlets. Nashua is a 30-minute drive from Manchester and an hour from Boston.

Great centrally located house!
"Loved this house! Great location, easy to get to neighboring towns, shops and restaurants and really cool that it backs up to old railroad tracks! Super clean, comfortable and great "home away from home" while we were in New Hampshire for a long weekend. We will definitely be back!"
