Worst hotel in Fiji!!
1. Check in- My room was “upgraded” and was asked to go to another hotel (5 minutes drive). I said I don’t want your upgrade but was told that this hotel is full! They also demanded 200 FJD in cash at the time of checkin, to which I said take my credit card details but they forced me to give them cash or no check in.
2. Room- The room was ok but really noisy in the night and I woke up many times by chatter outside. I think the glass windows are too thin so that you hear the smallest noise from outside. The doors in the shower cubicle wouldn’t close and there was no place to put shampoo in the cubicle (seemed broken).
3. Service - Expect no service. When I came back on the second day evening after my trip, I saw the room was not serviced. I called reception and was told that unless you ask at reception or push some button, service is not done. I was not given this information during check in at all. In any case I asked for room to be cleaned but no one came even after 2 hours. I went to the reception again and was told “sorry” and that it would be done soon.
4. AC leak - On 2nd day, AC started leaking and my bed was all wet. When I complained, I was told “Sorry but all rooms are full and they can’t do anything about it”. When I told them how am I supposed to sleep on the wet bed, they made the same excuse. Someone did come but I was made to wait outside and fight the mosquitoes while AC was being repaired til from 7 PM to 11 PM.
