Really lovely view on a nice balcony. Extremely relaxed staff -they live downstairs and so aren’t always in the actual hostel- so it was very quiet and peaceful for me. Breakfast was only cornflakes, milk and coffee. Rooms were fine but there were mosquitoes in there at night

Great value! Amazing view!
Hostel/hotel is basic- but is very clean, warm staff, and great breakfast. The patio outside has views of the mountains, and the interior kitchen is well equipped for cooking anything. The lady at the front desk is very knowledgeable and helpful with tours, info, travel, etc. Definitely would stay again

Wouldn't do it again
We were in Monteverde for 2 nights. We honestly should of skipped it all together. We did most our activities in La fortunal which was a nicer town, more to do. It's pretty much all the same main activities in both towns, like zip lining and hanging bridges and waterfalls. The hotel Que Tuanis also wasn't that nice. There breakfast was really good and then gave u options to chose from. but the beds were not comfortable. Lots of bugs everywhere compared to other places we stayed. The window was broken in our room (room 6) and we had tons and tons of moths flying in at night if there was any light on in our room. The view from the communal balcony is nice tho. But the whole place is very old and smells funny. You just felt dirty being there. Also it didnt feel safe the fact that the main doors to enter the building are all left unlocked through out the night and there is no workers or security what's so ever. Would be very easy for anyone to walk in and steal some stuff. Was happy to leave to our next destination!
