The Sounds of Nature! Wildlife and Mtn. views are all you will see and hear

Come relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your loved one at this unique mountain cabin. The sounds of birds in the air, wind through the trees, and fresh mountain air is sure to relax you. Whether you are inside the cabin or out you will feel in touch with nature through an expansive outdoor view through the windows. Come discover what makes this cabin so unique. This is a modern rustic mountain cabin with many unique qualities sure to please, including: a river rock shower big enough for two with two shower heads and body sprays, comfortable handcrafted king size bed, copper sinks, black walnut wood countertops throughout, many handcrafted pieces of furniture, stainless steel appliances, timber frame beam ceiling, large front porch, gas fireplace, bark siding on the exterior, live moss roof, and copper rain chains. All this is dwarfed compared to the location. Situated on 65 acres, overlooking thousands of acres of untouched mountain views, not one other house or streetlight can be seen, gaze at the star filled night sky, listen to the river rush in the distance, or the creek beside the cabin trickle down the mountain, your worldly worries are sure to melt away.
Take a walk down the 2.5 mile fly fishing trail that parallels the river adjoining the property, a blue ribbon trout fishing stream, hike the Appalachian Trail that’s within walking distance of the cabin, take a short drive and hike to several nearby waterfalls, explore Grayson Highlands State Park and Mount Rogers, the highest peak in Virginia about 30 minutes away, go paddle boating on Hungry Mother Lake only 25 minutes away, kayak or canoe the New River 30 minutes away, bike the Virginia Creeper Trail 25 minutes away, shop and eat in downtown Marion with several unique restaurants, antique shops, and distillery only 15 minutes away, catch a show at the Lincoln Theatre downtown or visit the soon to open Wayne Henderson School of art and music, shop the Saturday morning farmers market downtown, attend one of the several festivals throughout the year in the area. The cabin is centrally located to many outdoor activities and local attractions.

Absolutely Gorgeous
The drive up the mountain was beautiful. We could only imagine how beautiful it would be in the Fall. The cabin was beautiful and exactly like the pictures online. The fireplace provided enough warmth, and we loved the interior of how Ryan kept the cabin. The views were great and we didn't see any critters. We were able to visit downtown Marion for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend to other couples.

Never disappoints ....
This was our fourth visit to the cabin (once during each season), and we are already planning our next visit for 2024. It has become a yearly destination to unwind, relax, and enjoy the quiet. Ryan is a wonderful (and very responsive) host - and the photos really do not do the cabin justice. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful Weekend Trip
Awesome little house with everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The property owner Ryan was very responsive and helpful. We loved the fall colors and had a comfortable stay. Even on a rainy day the place was beautiful and we really appreciated the fact that the hot tub was covered! We hope to be back in the future.

It's Exactly What He Said It Is
This cabin was fantastically CLEAN! The cabin was WAY better than the picture. It was exclusively secluded, exactly what my wife an i were looking for! The nearest house was about a half a mile awayand at a lower elevation. Pay attention to the direction that Ryan give bc GPS will send you to what seems to be the opposite side of the mountain. I would also suggest arriving at least an hours b4 sunset. With all of the trees at the mountain top it gets really dark really fast. I pwrsonally like to arrive to unfamiliar places while the aun is up so i can see.

Amazing getaway - Peace and Quiet!
My husband and I spent two nights at the cabin during a trip to Bristol, TN. The location is amazing, and the cabin is full of wonderful details, from the furnishings and decor to the construction of the cabin itself. It has everything you need for a short getaway. The linens are nice, bed comfortable, and the bathroom lovely. The kitchen was nicely stocked and easy to use. The hot tub was in a lovely gazebo overlooking the forest and was a nice way to relax. The morning we left it rained, and we just sat and listened to the glorious sounds of nature. I will say the internet service was spotty (we were unable to use the TV because the streaming service kept freezing due to internet speed), but we certainly didn't go there expecting to spend hours on electronic devices when surrounded by such beauty, so it was nothing more than a minor inconvenience. Overall, we were extremely impressed by the lovely place, and definitely hope to return again.

Best place I’ve stayed
This property is, hands down, one of the best places I’ve stayed. It’s incredibly peaceful, beautiful, and private. It’s close to Grayson Highlands and other remarkable state parks and wineries. The house is impeccably furnished with beautifully handmade furniture, which are pieces of art. I’m so thankful to the owner of this property for making it available to others. This place is a gem.

Ideal spot for a romantic getaway. Secluded, private, tranquil, and great place for nature lovers. Well-appointed cabin with all the necessities, and then some. Lots of thought went into the unique design and decor of this cabin. One of a kind! Also enjoyed the separate hot tub gazebo overlooking the deep ravine. Awesome, especially at night. Hope to return one day soon.

Beautiful location
Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we would stay there again. Rarely are things perfect. We ran into a situation for a 4-night stay with only 2 towels per person and no separate towels for the hot tub, and no way to dry the towels or wet bathing suits (the dryer was broken and the owner was out of town). However, if you're looking for a getaway in the woods to unplug, or to reconnect with yourself or your partner, this is pretty good.

Ants, Bad AC, No Cell Service, Odd Smell
My spouse and I were so looking forward to this stay in Virginia for part of our honeymoon. But, this stay definitely changed the trajectory of our trip. We looked at the reviews and only saw positive reviews, so we were shocked that our experience was the opposite! There is no warning about the driveway, which has horrible switchbacks and is near-impossible to drive safely in a truck. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a mildewy/stale smell. As we walked throughout we noticed cobwebs in the corners and ants everywhere (which later got into our food in the kitchen). During our trip the WIFI and power went out (there was already no service), so we had no way of contacting anyone, not even the host. When the power went out, the power thankfully came right back on, but Wi-Fi did not (Wi-Fi-enabled messaging was the only form of communication accessible). The AC did not work, which was very unpleasant in July. On our last day, we noticed fuzzy mold under the bed. Overall it was a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay. The enjoyment we did have was down at the river below the property. It was nice how tucked away the place was, but the aforementioned aspects really tainted our stay.

Blooming laurel along the drive framed the property beautifully. We noticed that our voices automatically lowered in the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Lovely retreat. Thank you
