I enjoyed a lovely stay at Ocean Drive Madrid. The hotel is nicely appointed and the bar & restaurant are great, including the food and cocktails. The location is great for walking, shopping & dining. The front desk staff are knowledgeable and helpful too. The only unfortunate thing was my room was across from the housekeeping room so I was woken up both mornings with noise from the room. They did offer to move me but I was leaving early the next day so did not decide to move. I definitely recommend this hotel.

You can’t beat the location. We were to walk to all destinations. The staff were amazingly helpful and professional. Our room was small but the bathroom was designed to fit 2 easily especially because it had 2 vanities.

Location was perfect. The room configuration was very odd….toilet in a separate closet (literally) but had no fan in there. The shower was in the open so the person staying in the room can see the other taking a shower. Don’t see this type of room configuration anywhere else other than in Spain. Otherwise the room very modern and comfortable. Staff weee very nice during the stay. I asked for a room with a better view which they had but charged extra money….given the price we were paying, I thought it was a bit much but otherwise everything was fine.

Parking is not at the property. Parking for a price is available. About 30 Eros overnight. There are plenty of good restaurants near by. The rooms were a reasonable size.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this property. It was a last-minute switch from a previous hotel that did not have a pool to this hotel, which did have a pool it also had a terrace off my room which at the time I had no idea was as large as it was or that it stared directly at the most beautiful opera building on the square it was quite a pleasant surprise Room number 408 if you could book it get it because it’s the best room in the house! The restaurant affiliated with the hotel is also very good not only appealing, but the food is fantastic as well as the staff. One thing I definitely should mention is there was beer on tap in my room. I don’t know if that’s a normal thing for Spain or Madrid, but there was a beer tap in my room with cold beer so if you like beer that’s a plus at no extra charge.

The hotel is located in a nice area. The receptionist is very helpful. They let us leave our luggage stored before and after our stay, which was helpful. The space for the toilet was small. The shower was spacious. The air conditioning did not work well. We were hot most of the night Spring and I can't imagine how hot it would be stay during summer time. The windows to the room didn't open up, so that didn't help with ventilation. But besides the AC not being great, everything else was really nice.

Hotel is in excellent location for eating, bars, metro. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was really good overall, room was very comfortable. No complaints at all. The only thing we had a bit of an issue with was the room layout - not keen at all in having the bathroom integrated into the rest of the room. There was a separate toilet, but the shower was in the corner of the room, and the washbasin counter was across the middle of the room. Not sure if the room designer ever had to stay in a hotel before... Other than that, very good stay.

We booked this stay last minute for our last night in Spain and were thoroughly impressed with the experience. Everything was perfect from check-in to the room to check out. The staff were helpful and polite and spoke perfect English. I wish we had stayed here for our first five days in Madrid. And will definitely stay again. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in the restaurant out in the garden. Staff were great! I can’t comment on breakfast as we did not have it. There is a beautiful rooftop deck which has great views of the opera house. And the view from our room was lovely! I was initially hesitant based on other reviews, and I’m glad I proceeded. I don’t understand things that people complain about. Yes the location was slightly noisy but the location is on a central square in a major European city. When traveling it’s always advisable to bring earplugs. The bed was extremely comfortable. People complaining about the pillows should maybe bring their own? The configuration was unique, but compared to other rooms we stayed in throughout Spain, it was clean, modern, and everything worked perfectly! Highly recommended!!

The hotel was great overall, just a few issues that knocked it down a point or two. The hot water got turned off for an afternoon with no notice, and the rooftop bar (probably the main reason for staying there, really) was closed for renovations, which wasn't mentioned when booking. The location was amazing though, walkable to everything, and the staff were fantastic. Once the roof is open again, would definitely recommend it.

Ive stayed here well over 30 nights in the last year and a half. Overall it is a nice hotel with an excellent location. However, Im starting to lose interest because it seems there is always something that needs to be fixed. The last 3 visits included lobby bathrooms without water, rooftop bar out of service, lights in the room turning on by themself in the middle of the night. So the maintenance of the himotel is slipping. And frustratingly, they spray huge amounts of scented spray at the elevators on wvery floor. You can see a smokey mist of chemicals always floating in the lights above your head and the smell is too strong. Besides...no one wants to breath chemicals. Get rid of that. Th staff is always very kind and should be commended. The sommelier Julio is absolutely fantastic. There is a little inconsistency with the service from bartenders - some dont pay attention and are a bit slow. It's a good place to stay but because I stay so often I'm noticing the details of what is failing. All fixable things.
