"A clean, comfortable villa with a fantastic view. Enzo, Host, was very helpful in getting our group settled. He even went way out of his way to pick up part of the party from the station in Pisa. We used the very functional kitchen, the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the quaintness of the Villa. Only challenge was the road up the mountain - took some careful getting used to!!"

We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. "Beautiful villa only 2.5 miles from center of Lucca, but felt worlds away. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, it was conveniently placed close to local amenities (grocery store, etc.). Wonderful outdoor sitting/eating areas and local Osteria (5’ walk) was excellent (had dinner there twice in 4 days). Local church bells tolling on the hour just added to the charm of the setting! Above all, Luciano was a gracious and informative host. We would love to come back someday for another stay...

"The house is very large on the outskirts of Lucca part way up a hillside in a forested setting, about 10 minutes from the Lucca wall. We enjoyed our two week stay there. The contact, Andrea, met us at the house, and explained every aspect of the property. And he checked in with us in person and by phone several times during our stay. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."

"This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"The villa and facilities are as described and the photographs are accurate representations. The property was very clean and the furniture comfortable. Our children made full use of the WiFi and it did not fail their high demands! We loved the pool, beautiful garden & balcony and spent most evenings relaxing here. Be warned - a variety of biting insects emerge at night, so prepare an array of deterrents! Lucca, Pisa, Barga etc are all easy drives."

"We stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks, there were 10 of us total spanning 3 generations, 6 adults and 4 children. The villa exceeded our expectations in so many ways! The house was beautiful inside and out, the rooms were furnished beautifully. Despite how hot it was outside the air conditioners allowed for a very comfortable nights sleep and the pool was perfect for the heat. "We had a very relaxing stay here, the property is lovely and has everything we needed and we were very comfortable here. A big plus for us is being able to leave the car parked on the drive and behind secure gates safe and sound. Lucca is a charming place to visit and handy for Florence and Pisa. "The property is stunning, grand with incredible views. Also the lovely fresh tomatoes from the garden were a lovely added extra. The pool really is exceptional and definitely the biggest I've ever hired, with Hockney views! The only reason for a star down was the cleaners and gardeners were there daily and were there unnecessarily for hours every day and overbearing (also the gardener turned sprinklers on guests by the pool).
