This place is in a brilliant location, you can walk straight onto 2nd Street. We found parking really easy. It’s a modern interior and the bed was really comfy.
Downsides are as many have said, the walls are so thin you can hear everything either side of you (you receive a list of rules before you stay including no noise after a certain time of night but with no sound proofing it’s a bit pointless).
Like another person said, the light switch was hanging off the wall and wasn’t fixed by the time we arrived. A plug socket was the same.
We booked for 8days which is too long here, we had one wardrobe space with maybe 5-6 coat hangers and when we opened the wardrobe, there was lots of ‘house maintenance stuff’ which we had to move before we could settle in.
The facilities in the laundry room weren’t clean (inside there was dried paint & plaster) so we opted to do our washing elsewhere.
I messaged John during our stay as the iron seemed to be missing, he replied once asking me to confirm it definitely wasn’t there. I did this then never heard back from him. Not a huge deal but it meant we couldn’t wear certain clothes for the remainder of our holiday as they were creased.
Finally, on the morning we were leaving there was a power cut. I happened to have just started drying my hair. Again, not a huge deal but again I messaged John to let him know - no apology which isn’t great.
I’d say this is a great place for short trips and ideally solo travellers.
