I hate to give the overall rating such a poor review because this hotel was nice but there were a few things that made me leave 1 star. First, i showed up just after 10pm to check in and was told I needed to pay $35 for parking when i was only going to be there to check in and leave. The next thing which was worse was the first room i checked into, my girlfriend and I woke up at 3am sweating because our AC was not working. I called the front desk to let them know and they said someone will call you at 5am when maintenance arrives. I then asked if i could be moved to another room because i was not going to wait 2 more hours to see if they could repair the AC after i had already been in there miserable. I was moved from the 12th floor to the 8th floor into another room that would not cool, so after packing all my stuff up to move rooms i just decided to turn off the AC since it was getting hotter and just sleep with the window open. There was construction going on outside so that woke me at 8:30 since the window was open. I then called down to complain about the AC again and was told i would be moved to another room for the 3rd time now and was made sure i knew that it was an upgrade free of charge, which i could of cared less about because i just wanted my room to be cold while i slept and i was visiting Long Beach for the first time so the room was just to rest not to enjoy. I was never offered anything to compensate for my terrible first night there at the hotel.
