We liked this place at Camden that was very close to where my daughter is studying in London. The room was clean and good. The only issue was that the space is very limited.The service was great.

A very good, modern, brand new hotel. Lovely staff and I had a quiet room on the first floor. Very clean and tidy. Superb quality tea/coffee amenities (they even had hot chocolate!) and same for the complimentary bathroom items. The only minor thing I'd mention was that the basin tap was loose in the sink which should have been picked up and fixed, but this is the only negative thing. Overall great value as well, highly recommend and please keep it up!

Could comfortable hotel, staff friendly and helpful. The one downside was for the price of the room I thought it was basic, Shelves each side of bed ( not bedside cabinets) No where to put luggage. Minor points but worth noting about hotel of this calibre & price.

At the heart of Camden
A very well located property, well-served by public transport, (bus or tube to Kings Cross and Euston) just off Camden High Street. It is clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. A variety of restaurants cafes and bars are all within 5 minutes walk.

Unfriendly staff!
Front desk staff not friendly. When we arrived for check in we stood there while the guy & lady ignored us for ages. They continued to look at their computer screens and wouldn’t even acknowledge that we were there in front of them! I finally asked if this is where we checked in & he said yeah just give me 15 minutes. So we stood back away from the desk, a couple walked right in, she said she wanted to check in and he checked them in right away!! They weren’t friendly at all, a bit off putting as a first impression.

We stayed one night only and our room was small , which was ok for the night but had we been booked in for a couple more days the room wouldnt of worked for us , no space to put luggage without tripping over it and wasnt keen that the hanging space for our clothes was above the kettle / coffee facilities .

Excellent location, lovely and friendly staff. I stayed in Room 39 which was very compact but very clean. The room was very hot as the heating had been turned up full but I turned it down as low as it went. The bed was very comfortable

Nice - modern and secure. Good responsive heating system. For £303 this room was tiny. No drawers to put clothes. Small hanging area but directly over kettle and tea making area so clothes got steamed and hurt my back having to lean down to make tea. One pillow each but they brought two more without question. Only 2 tea bags in room but complimentary station in reception. Ironing board stood in room in what little space there was so we used it to hang our coats on!

Hostel Comfort at Hotel Prices
Positives The hotel is modern, clean and recently refurbished while being in a great location for Camden being close to the market, tube station and venues such as Electric Ballroom and Koko. Negatives The staff were not particularly welcoming on check in or check out - it felt as though we were inconveniencing them which was very uncomfortable. In terms of the room, we stayed in a double classic room. The room was incredibly small with no table or anywhere to sit down other than the bed. The was only a small slit of a window at the top of the wall so very little natural light. The kettle was in the wardrobe space (more of a small clothes hanging corner) which made it very difficult to make a drink while having clothing hanging. The bed itself was poor quality - a very small double and on wheels on a laminate floor so even the slightest movement like sitting down made the bed move which was very frustrating. Finally, there were also only two pillows that were not very comfortable and all this resulted in a poor sleep. Overall, we are disappointed with our stay at the Wesley. Although the location, cleanliness and modern furnishings of the hotel are great, it is hard to recommend when the very basics of space, light and comfort are lacking. In areas it felt more like a hostel or student accommodation than a hotel. I appreciate that we only booked a ‘classic’ room, but I expected more for £200 per night.
