Close to 2 tubes and shops. Room was small, especially the bathroom. They put 2 beds together with one comforter that barely covered the beds . The entrance was beautiful.

The hotel was good for a one night stay for a traveling couple, but will admit the rooms are even smaller than expected despite paying for the "Deluxe double." The rooms could definitely use a bit of an update as the leather from the headboards is completely crumbling. The staff was welcoming and helpful

Pro’s = location and gorgeous lobby. Con’s = horrible bottom floor single room, rooms in desperate need of refurbishing and replace carpet. Front desk staff on both check in and check out were not friendly or welcoming. So many great options in London pass on this place.

If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s easily accessible to food/restaurants, tubes and bus lines, then this is the place for you. However, it’s not a 4 star hotel. I would rate it at the most a 3 star. Also, the rooms are very small.

The hotel qas very charming with much of the historical features still present in the main areas auch as the lobby, sitting area, dining room, and main atair case. The hotel was clean. Our room was very small which was doable for our short, two night stay, but otherwise it would have been too cramped for a longer stay. The room was modernized and did have air conditioning. The area around the hotel was great for restaurants and cafes and the underground transportation.

The hotel is one block from Hyde Park, less than two blocks from the Central and Circle Tube lines and close to many dining options. I was given a room on the 8th floor and the lift went only to the 7th floor. When I requested to be given a room on a lower floor, the front desk clerk, Marat, was unwilling to fulfill the move. The A/C was not working properly and the thermostat was set to only 19° to 22° Celsius. That and being on the top floor made the room uncomfortable. I was provided with a floor fan. Also, the rooms were not spacious, very cramped. The hotel’s decor was a plus, beautiful wood finishing and a grand staircase going to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

It is right next to Hyde park and there are undergrounds nearby. Very convenient for the visitors! The only problem was the room I booked is a very small room, you cannot image how tiny bathroom sink and the shower are. You can't even raise your hands or turn around in the shower. I understand this is an old building but the bathroom design is just weird.

Good for a night stay but wouldn’t recommend anymore than that. One thing that really annoyed me was what seemed to look like mice or rat droppings under the duvet when we pulled them back, was only 2 little bits but was very annoyed. Pretty standard place to stay

This is a historic building but it is so old that I do wonder if it is time to do some major renovations. I have been to other vintage hotels that have better rooms and amenities. There was a very cramped staircase to my room and the room itself was so small I wouldn’t have considered it suitable for more than 1 person. The furnishings are also very limited. There were no food options other than breakfast. Honestly I think this hotel is needing major updating if it is to keep guests.
