Bower House is a cheap, no frills option that is really central. It's a stones throw from Victoria station. You get what you pay for and it offered a clean, nice room at a very reasonable price.

Comfortable, convenient and a bit quirky
A fabulous room, spacious and clean, with a delightfully quirky bathtub. A few minutes walk from Victoria Station, it was very handy for an out-of-towner doing some shopping and family meet-ups. Excellent value for money.

I was taken aback when they tried putting me up in a tiny third floor room that felt more like a closet. Nothing like the photo they had on line. I was offered a much better room. Heat has no thermostat so I ended up leaving my window open. I let them know that the sink didn’t drain and that other guests’ debris was coming up. They supposedly fixed it. It continued to SLOW drain. The room needs a cosmetic overhaul. Peeling wall paper and water stains near the ceiling. It just looks tired. The mattress needs replacing. The toilet door is a joke; I couldn’t possibly close the doors with my feet inside. The staff was pleasant. The location is great, very near Victoria Bus Station and Victoria underground.

Excellent Experience!
Excellent location, very good and safe neighborhood, I found it to be excellent value for money! I stayed for seven days in a single room, and it was a great experience! Very good bed, comfortable room, total privacy, really very good! The only point is that there is no elevator for luggage, but this in no way diminishes the experience. Check-in is in another building, but it is very close. I highly recommend it and would stay at Bower House again.

Staff location and cleanliness of the property are great. You have to go to another hotel to check in and get a key card. I can’t speak for other rooms but at 12 am and 3.30 am when the people in the room above were getting in and moving out I heard everything. The plumbing must go through one of the walls in the bedroom I was in as I heard every tap turned on. So if your purpose is to sleep I wouldn’t advise.

This hotel was super quaint and comfortable to stay at. The staff were super helpful, brought my luggage up, gave me an extra pillow, let me borrow the adaptor for my cell phone. A bit of a walk from the train. Experience was enjoyable and recommended for budget rooms.

Pretty good room. Plenty of Instant hot water is a plus. It was at the top of stairs, but the lovely staff member gave us a hand to lift our heavy big bags up which we were very grateful for. All the staff were great. The location is brilliant and easy walk to many attractions.
