Room was basic… comfortable beds…but I don’t think the bed cover should be used in place of a duvet with a cover that can be washed..room and bathroom are looking a bit tired and in need a renovation… breakfast was acceptable…

The lift did not reach the third floor. The plumbing in the bathroom was inefficient and at one point water came through the bathroom ceiling. Toilet flush hard to operate and shower difficult to maintain a suitable warm temperature.

The Alexandra Hotel is not suited for stays over 1 night. It is very dated and not clean. There were still other people hairs on the bed that stuck to my clothes which highly proves that the sheets were not changed after last guest checked out. The room was very small but had the bare minimum required to be adequate. But the shower was a very tight squeeze and there was no hot water on the evening of check in, but next morning was fine. Transport links are good so that's a plus. And many places to eat just outside. The continental breakfast was sparce but again adequate.

Surprisingly excellent for price
Very pleasantly surprised - I required a room for a night - a very short stay. Expected something below average I was very surprised with the room - small yet practical, good location and the most important absolutely spotlessly clean. Shower was excellent high powered, didn't have breakfast as I checked out at 06:00 am. Definitely stay here again

I opted for this hotel during my solo visit to london for 4 days. Apart from the safe and super convenient location in central london, the helpful staff members are the reason for this hotel standing out from the rest. Hotel is clean, quiet, safe and easily walkable from Paddington Station and thereby very well connected. Their breakfast is basic but sufficient. Anyone would love the hotel, if 5 star facility is not expected at this budget. If i happen to visit london again, i will be opting for the same hotel!

The acoustics are bad as we could hear people clearly next door to us. Our room was right up the top of the hotel with a steep staircase which would not suit a lot of people with walking issues. Breakfast was until 9.15. We turned up at 8.50 and there was hardly anything left. The staff were friendly and the hotel was in a good location.
