"First time in the keys, captain pips was centrally located. We would consider this property a key west experience not a new and glamorous resort. We enjoyed looking at the ocean from the patio and the authentic feel. There are some amenities on property like kayaks bikes paddle boards, it would be more beneficial for residents if these facilities were available after 4 pm. Kitchen was equipped with enough to cook small meals and reheat items. Inclusion of a cooler was a plus! Pool was open 24 hours. Publix is close enough to stock the apt. "

"Nice hotel, convenient to middle keys. Fishing charters available on site at marina. Comfortable room. Used the gym next door at the sister hotel Mariott which was a little nicer. Would stay again for sure. "

"So,keep in mind that we were just stopping over for the night and thought it be fun to stay the night on a houseboat with the kids on our way to the next part of our trip. We did not realize that this was a fishing area and found it very smelly! Now, if you are an avid fisherman or fisherwoman, then you probably wouldn’t have a problem with it. The place was fine, I would say it’s more like camping in an RV. We enjoy seeing the key deer and iguana…it was the highlight of our stay."

"Beautiful and quiet location. Close to Key West yet just far enough to be away from the crowds. Family thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything is as pictured and immaculately clean, truly a gem. Melanie was friendly, always available and always responsive."
