We were in the Sahara for 6 days and 5 nights. We managed to get an offer on Expedia for the Alexandria Suite, and it was great! We were on the 25th floor with an excellent view. At first, we were scared of what the hotel would be like because people commented that there were many homeless people around the hotel, but we realized that happens all over Las Vegas. We toured the strip, and it was the same everywhere; even in the most expensive hotel homeless people were sleeping in the area.
The highlight of the hotel is its restaurants; the price is suitable for a vacation. We traveled from New Jersey and paid for food at the Sahara the normal cost of a restaurant in NJ.
The best and most expensive restaurant is Chef Jose Andres', but it's an unparalleled experience. The meat is spectacular, and it was the best option to celebrate our first anniversary with my husband.
The hotel pool is excellent, very nice, and relaxing. The room was cleaned every day; we had coffee, water, and everything cleaned daily. They also don't charge you to open the refrigerator, which was something that had us worried because of the comments from other hotels.
The hotel also has a monorail stop and a DEUCE stop, which is the bus that takes you all over the strip right in front.
You can also become a member of the casino for free, and I read in comments that the casino smelled of cigarette smoke, but that happens everywhere because smoking is allowed. The casino is one of the cleanest we've seen.
