This 2 bedroom 1 bath offers a peaceful retreat from the hurried life. The cabin is located across the street from Gray Lake , with lake views. A small public beach access is down the road. The Cabbage is Near Pere Marquette paved Rails to Trails, Lakeside Bar and Grill , and a historic General Store. There is also a coffee shop open in the summer season. The yard has a rustic firepit. There are 2 kayaks. There are two T.V.s - one in the twin room and one in the living room. There is Wi-FI. Rocko Tv and a DVD player with numerous videos. There are also games and cards for that rainy Day. Of which you'll love the sound of the rain on the metal roof. This Cabin was just renovated and June 1 2022 is its first debut. Bath towels and Bed Linens provided. For cooking there is a Microwave, hot plate, and a toaster oven. A grill , Keurig coffee pot also.

Great rustic getaway
My family had a wonderful stay here. The house had the basics we needed, but had a great camping feel. The property was great, with a grill and a firepit. The lake also had great fishing!

Serene Cabin with a Lake View
We enjoyed our stay at the “Cabbage” for an extended weekend. The lake themed decor along with the functionality of items needed when staying away is great! It is so quiet and calm. We walked to the area where you can put kayaks into the lake. There were geese, ducks, and squirrels which made our dog happy. The General Store in the town of Lake is a must! You can find everything…fresh meat, produce, groceries, memorabilia, craft beers, wine…selection of all is amazing. The Pere Marquette walking trail in town is a great place to walk or bike. The cabin is clean, comfortable and just the right size for all you need to make it feel like a home. We appreciate the stay!

Our stay was amazing, just what we needed for a little getaway. The Cabbage had everything you need, even shampoo and conditioner in the off chance you forget to pack it just as I did! Can’t wait to come visit again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cabbage with our pups and it was amazing! Easy check in, remote from the city, updated appliances, and clean. The host did a great job at communicating and had all the appliances needed for grilling & cooking. I would highly recommend if you’re looking to disconnect from the city.

Anniversary get away
We loved our stay, cottage is very cute and cozy. Loved the factcwe could store our side x side in garage at night. Neighborhood is friendly and we loved the general store. Great place to unplug. Only thing i would add is a basic antenna to get local channels in living room to check weather and news in tbe morning..

Clean and well stocked!
The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed. The hot plate worked great for making eggs and bacon in the morning. We used the grill for our other meals. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We had plenty of towels. I do agree with other reviews that said there needed to be more window covers. Some of the windows had nothing covering them. There was only one house close by but no one seemed to be staying there. We liked the cabin but not the location. The "neighborhood" was not the greatest and there was Not much to do unless you are willing to drive to other towns. But It was very quiet there! That was nice. Property owner was great to communicate with us.

Lovely cabin in the woods, near lake with kayaking
My family and I had a wonderful getaway at The Cabbage. We loved the property--its thoughtful layout, comfort, and coziness--as well as its proximity to a family-friendly lake for kayaking. It was just the spot to unplug, relax, and reconnect with each other. Rain on the tin roof was an added bonus one evening! While we mainly stayed near the cabin & lake, we did check out the Lake General Store (excellent), the WhistleStop (also excellent for sandwiches & ice cream), and the nearby town of Clare (fun window-shopping and doughnut-indulging). We hope to come back & appreciated the thoughtfulness of this place and its owners!

The Cabbage Was A Hit!
Really, really enjoyed our little getaway to the Cabbage! Decor is the CUTEST! It was very clean and as described. Not the best service on our cells but we didn’t go up north to be on our phones, it was refreshing to enjoy the outdoors and not be glued to screens. Had everything you could need in the kitchen, fun things provided (games, DVDs, bags to play) bikes & kayaks too! Overall this was a really great experience. Hope to visit again soon!

Adorable Cottage
I needed a comfortable place to stay (and reasonably priced) while visiting a historical library in Mt. Pleasant. This cottage was just so nice. We had trouble with finding it at first thanks to Siri, but did find it. Take OAK STREET to it, rather than Birch. The cottage is decorated like a professional decorated might have done it. As sweet as can be. Everything was clean and well-supplied. Lakeside Bar & Grille nearby had good food and Kaleidoscope was perfect for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The lake wasn’t impressive but we didn’t come for that. Wonderful stay.
