“great getaway. Very quiet and relaxing”

“there was some construction activity on other side of lake that was a bit intrusive of the peacefulness; the one bathroom is attached to master bedroom, so that guest had to walk through master to use the toilet. (minor inconvenience); eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T. I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing.”

“Adorable cabin at the end of the lane. Excellent amenities, front porch was where we spent most of or time. Sweet little getaway for a couple or small family in excellent condition. However, it is small; one bedroom doubles as the television room. There are no laundry facilities, and no place to really "unpack." The only dining area is on the porch. Also, bring your own toilet paper. HOWEVER - the shower is surprisingly great! Four of us all got hot showers, and the pressure is better than we've……

“We love staying at the lake house. It is perfect for my family and our second time to rent this property. The property's is conveniently located close to the interstate and nearby stores. We really enjoyed the porch and swimming from a nice swim deck. They have a great game room which was perfect for three preteens and 1 teenager. The owner quickly responds to questions and provides good info. Highly recommend!!!”

“We had a great time on our Spring Break at Smith Lake. The house is beautiful and very well stocked with kitchen essentials and also games, books, puzzles, and even some toys for the kids. We had a couple of beautiful days to enjoy the kayaks and sit in the sunshine on the dock. The host was very attentive & responsive. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!”

Of note, steep incline driving down to the parking area then limited space to turn vehicle around in order to drive back up and out. Rock steps down to property require careful attention to footing especially when carrying luggage.”

“We loved the property. The home was very well done and recently renovated. The downstairs area had 2 pull out sofas with a huge TV with speakers everywhere which was great for the young adults. The master bedroom had beautiful views. The property had a wonderful fire pit where we all gathered each evening. There were lots of outdoor spaces with seating to enjoy also. Tim was easy to contact and responded to our questions quickly.”

“This house is not only beautiful and spotless on the inside, you are situated by the cleanest lake in all of Alabama! I spent a few relaxing days with my family at this delightful home. There is plenty of room for a large family, an oversized kitchen and amazing lake views from every room. We enjoyed the firepit at night making smores with the kids. The decor is all high-end, no lumpy mattresses or itchy sheets! Julie is an expert host and incredibly responsive to any questions. You can enjoy……

“This stay was everything I wanted out of weekend fishing/camping trip and more. Beautiful property, lots of wildlife and an all around perfect place to casually enjoy the outdoors just north of Birmingham. We only stayed 1 night in one of the cabins but packed in a ton of fishing with a few buddies of mine and caught around 75 fish total. We enjoyed the expansive wrap round porch in the evening and morning with shared meals with the guys. Donald was so great to us and communicated……

“Such a beautiful place. The hosts do everything to make it very nice for their guests…lots of extra touches that don’t happen elsewhere (fresh-baked bread, welcome basket, nice toiletries, etc). The yard is gorgeous. Immaculately kept and so many pleasant seating areas near fires. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and jumping rock. The living areas are all bright, new and fresh. We cook a lot, and I was so appreciative that the kitchen had good Calphalon pans and nice knives. Wonderful place. Great……
