“Rented this specifically since it was outside of resort areas. Not far from Kailua-Kona, though - only a 15-min drive. Daughter and I went to go hiking and experience nature, and this location was perfect for that! (We could even birdwatch from the lanai!) Found the house and the room clean and well-maintained. Note in response to other reviews: This is a house converted to guest rooms, so yes, you may hear a bit of noise from other guests, but I personally didn't find it a problem. And the……

“If you want a private retreat away from the hustle and bustle this is the place! Clean, well maintained, great privacy, and great communication. Really nice patio where birds visit and you can sit sipping your coffee, and gaze into lush tropical surroundings and the sea at the horizon. On the smaller side, so if you want to cook and eat, you will have to work with limited space, a microwave and refrigerator. Otherwise perfect!”

“Online description was incorrect. Facility had a weird smell and we had to mitigate that issue ourselves. Condo was right on a thru road through complex, but very close to bbq and pool. Condo needed updating and the bathroom was subpar.”

“If you're looking for a no frills beach bungalow, this is the place for you. I loved the beach cottage feel and the location was perfectly nestled across the street from the ocean and near many restaurants and shopping. “A fantastic place to stay! We found this place on the day that Kona airport closed due to a runway crack. Diana is a great host. We arrived there almost midnight, Diana waited for us and helped us get settled in. Next morning, we woke up to an amazing sea view.
