"The hotel was beautiful with all the amenities you could need. This was our first time in a traditional Japanese style room and it was such a fun experience. The onsens were great and the reservation system easy to use. Dining was special and we loved the food. Getting to do a little laundry in their facilities was an added bonus. Staff was eager to help and made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire stay."

"An hotel in the style of a traditional Ryokan, absolutely everything about Mikawaya was exceptional. The decor, rooms, public onsen, meals and staff were amazing. Although it is a little out of the way and up an incline, there are multiple frequent transport options and even a shuttle bus which can take you back and forth from Gora Station.
