We loved the location - right in the walkable heart of historic Hillsdale - and the apartment itself was great fun to stay in: two whole floors, well-stocked pantry, comfortable beds, fun decor. Beware if you can’t manage stairs - there are two steep staircases here! The building is also old and a little quirky, but we loved it."

"The loft is adorable in a beautiful neighborhood very close to the University of Michigan campus. The loft was neat and clean with just about everything we needed (a couple of wine glasses would have been an added bonus). The bathroom had an amazing large shower with awesome water pressure. "There is a lot to like about this property, much of which has been mentioned in other reviews. We particularly enjoyed the deck with the large yard which provided a nice quiet place to relax. But beyond that, for us it was all about the location. It was wonderful after a busy day at MIS to return and have a very comfortable space to stay. The location really is ideal if you ever have the opportunity to visit the racetrack. It was a short 10-15 minute drive with a couple of convenience store...

"Perfect location in downtown AnnArbor. You could walk to everything ! The apartment was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The ONLY negative were the baseboards in the one bathroom, they really need to be replaced. I would highly recommend The Mitten House. I would definitely return."

"Loved the location of this little studio! It was easy to get into Ann Arbor and we enjoyed an evening in Brighton as well. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our dog. "This little place packs everything you need for your stay into a studio apartment. The kitchenette was perfect for heating up leftovers or having an easy breakfast. The Murphy bed is very tall but so comfortable. The linens are so soft! The bathroom was really clean and had a lot of nice natural light during the day. This is the best decorated rental I’ve ever stayed in. So cozy and welcoming. The hosts were very communicative and allowed me to bring my toddler last minute. Can’t say enough good...
