It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The only drawback is the location in relation to some of the places we wanted to visit. The traffic/taxi options are a bit hair raising and time consuming. Otherwise great stay.

The Fairmont Istanbul was nice, but it was lacking the service and attention to detail found at other Fairmonts. When we arrived our luggage was taken and never showed up to our room for over 2 hours, multiple calls to have it resolved, because of the time change and jet lag it was a little annoying when we juts wanted to shower and head to bed. The TV system in the room would not work it would go off or screen would go black, the Maintenance staff tried to fix it and were friendly. The room was well laid about and the view spectacular, the iron leaked all over, and needed an extension cord as the main plug for it had a previous plug stuck in it, which could be fixed ? Room service was good, but the dining option otherwise for casual dining were not existent only a Michelin Star venue, and since the Hotel is further out of the old city, some guests might feel apprehensive on venturing out to dine without getting to know the area first. The gold level lounge was a nice perk but strange hours and food combinations. My son travelling with me age 10 found that unlike previous Fairmonts there was no attention for kids or acknowledgement, Rosewood properties seem to be doing this better lately. Over all nice hotel, not sure I’d stay in the Istanbul one next time visiting though.

I didn’t like everything about the hotel. In room dining was too bad. They charged for bread and banana!!! The portion compared to the price is very little. I was sick and ordered certain type of food. The plates smelled like egg. And i told them, they took it and didn’t bring a replacement for my order. House keeping is very slow. You need to call 4 or 5 times for house keeping to come and clean the room. They don’t refill the shampoo in the bathroom. The don’t refill the bathroom amenities The room was very small. The taxi service like if you need to order a taxi. It takes a lot of time and you need to be downstairs you can’t order from your room and come downstairs once the taxi is here. Staff are very rude. Specially the one who checked me in the hotel. All the staff very rude even the ones brings the in room dining. I don’t recommend this hotel

Impecable clean, everything looks new, great service. Saddly the recepction or calling 0, always promissed to send specific request needed, happened 4 times, never did.

Each member of staff I encountered was very helpful and polite. The spa area is a joy, with a good size pool, Bedrooms have lots of natural light. Useful working area in rooms as well as convivial bar/ lobby area.
