Cabin, private, woods, trails, 2000 Acre Duck Lake, kayaking, concerts

Cottage feel with modern amenities. Township Permit # PSTR 23-049. Perfect for a couple or small family. Pet friendly. One bedroom for two guests plus two age 15 or under, full bath, kitchen and dining area, living room, wood stove, patio, 10x12 deck, fire pit. WIFI, TV Streaming Hulu, air, reverse osmosis tap water. 650 square feet. Lake access 3/10 of a mile, joint access with boat mooring available. Due to swimmers itch swimming is safe waste deep but lengthy wading in the shallow is risky. I have been swimming in Duck Lake for 11 years and have never had swimmers itch, as long as you are careful and towel off the risk is very low. There are areas of the lake where you can wade and play fizbee, etc without concern but you need to boat there, thus a boat or kayak is a great way to enjoy this lake. Interlochen State park and Interlochen Arts Academy 1.5 miles north. State park has a nice beach area and the Arts Academy houses many prominent concerts and performances in multiple art forms. Just a short distance away from Traverse City, MI, host of the National Cherry Festival, Traverse City Film Festival. Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsula's with over 20 vineyards. Many lakes, rivers and beaches within 20 minute radius. Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes 30 minutes. Many golf resort opportunities: Grand Traverse Resort, Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain and many other smaller courses.

Interlochen cottage
Great location to enjoy Duck and Green Lake and the local businesses. Cottage was warming and had all the amenities to enjoy our stay while spending the days bass fishing. Had a nice grill for grilling and fire pit to enjoy a nice fire and recap on our day.

Great weekend getaway
This was such a cute little cabin. Stocked well with dishes, towels ect. Very cozy. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. We are already planning to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your cozy cabin by Duck Lake.

Nice little getaway
It was a little less secluded than I had hoped, but it’s a quiet, uncrowded road with most properties spaced well apart. The trails were fun to explore. Just the right size for one or two, with the little wood stove taking off the chill of the evening. The only challenge was that there weren’t enough open outlets, but it worked out.

A great find
We were so happy to find this place, as it is on the same street as our daughter. Nancy was great to communicate with and her instructions for check-in, check-out, and rules during our stay were well documented and easy to follow. Definitely will stay here again!!

Perfect getaway
Came to Michigan to visit family but still wanted our own space, this was the perfect little home. Comfy, warm, and perfect for just me and my husband. They had everything we needed to enjoy our 5 days there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable and cute getaway. Has a fireplace that was very nice. Bed was comfy. 10 out of 10. Property owners were very responsive to any inquiries I had rapid response time. When I visit again I will be staying in the same place. It is right by the lake walking distance. You feel nestled away in the woods. Loved it.

Nice little getaway
I got an idea to spend Thanksgiving weekend in Michigan at a little cabin. I am not a woodsy outdoor person at all but my husband is pretty well versed at building fires and land navigation: we had a lovely wood stove and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire we built. The cabin in in a quiet little neighborhood. Too cold for fire pit this time of year but really a fun time nonetheless. Good location and easy drive to Traverse City and lots of attractions. Property manager very kind and friendly. I have a large well behaved dog. Thank goodness for people who don’t breed judge or size judge. My dog had the best time. Overall a great deal and a wonderful experience.

Lovely stay!
The cabin is adorable, very cozy, and comfortable for a couple. We loved the wood stove on a chilly evening, taking walks to the lake, and the location was super convenient for our mountain bike race. Thanks again!
