"Quaint, rustic and updated cabin with all the necessities to enjoy time by the waters of Long Lake. Plenty of room for parking the boat trailer. Water at the dock was shallow when we visited so we loaded and unloaded at the DNR Boat Ramp 3.5 miles to the west. Lots of opportunities in nearby Alpena and Lake Huron. Communication with the owner was easy and response time was immediate. Clean and well kept! Thank you Ryan!"

"Our family stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful big backyard. The view was just amazing & sunsets didnt disappoint. It was such a quite & relaxing place. The cottage was warm and very cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. (Super thankful for that! ) & our doggies loved their stay! "Quaint cottage but under construction/remodeling..would of felt more comfortable with safety features in home..no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors...no visible fire extinguisher..but close to the beach and great price"

"In the area for an anniversary getaway, and found this reasonably priced cottage. First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. The communication from the owners was exceptional and had us prepared for the visit. The location was wonderful, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. "Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head."

"The setting was beautiful! The kitchen sink and shower were so disgusting, we went to town for cleanser and cleaned them before we could use them. The refrigerator was dirty and had other peoples food (condiments etc) in it. There were cob webs with spiders and eggs under the table in the living room. We only stayed 2 nights of our three booked. There wasn't a can opener or toaster in the kitchen. There were also two gun safes in our cabin! "

"Very clean and recently updated. Had all the basic amenities you would need. No wifi or cable but it work fine for us. It's a place you would spend most time outside. Close to town if you need supplies. Neighborhood is friendly. Canoe and kayak rentals are close, which we used but they are seasonal. Maybe this host will supply them in the future. Nice golf course close by. Local attractions are short drive and Oscoda is about 30 min drive. Very relaxing weekend for us. The deck view is why this...

"We had a great time at our stay on Hubbard Lake. The owner lives right across the street so he is there if you need anything but never once made us feel as if we were being watched. I have stayed elsewhere where we felt as if the owner watched us the entire stay. This was not the case here! We had a great time. If I had to be picky and complain about something I would say it can get a little warm in the cabins with no ac but it was over 90 our entire stay. Also, the parking is very limited."
