The staff at this hotel were outstanding. Without a doubt the best customer service we have received anywhere in a long time. Miranda at the front desk was so welcoming & helpful. We also had fantastic service at dinner in the bar, they were super accommodating to our children, there wasn’t a children menu but they offered to make them child friendly meals. Simon our waiter was so friendly & nothing was too much trouble. The food here is delicious, don’t stay without eating here. I would come to this hotel just to eat! The pool here is lovely, so warm & with young children that’s important. Seating is available round the pool so if you have older children you can just sit in comfort & watch. Again the staff in the leisure centre are very helpful & friendly. We didn’t come across one member of staff who wasn’t kind & engaged with guests. The room was large, the bathroom & brown carpet needed an update but it was clean & functional. Location close to M3 is also great & the fact they allow dogs is a huge plus. Overall a wonderful stay.

Noisy bathroom fans.
We have stayed here several times and are always disturbed by the humming of the bathroom fan overnight while we are trying to sleep. It runs constantly and can not be switched off. An isolation switch would be good. This is the same in most rooms. Apart from that we find this hotel very good for our needs.

A poor night
The shower was absolutely feeble no pressure ,the temperature was unmanageable. Room was tried , thin quilt and not enough pillows. Very noises being next to health club Morning staff unfriendly

Only slight problem was the shower. Couldn't make it work. The taps in the bath were working but after fiddling with th3 shower settings I gave up. No joy. Other than that it was very good.

Sadly a disappointment
It's hard to give negative feedback and is a shame we have to, we was looking forward to a lovely valentines few days away, there was no friendly greet at all, we was early, was told we had to. Wait 2 hours which is fair enough but it was the attitude and no explanation why, apparently was coach loads prior. The room. Was small, the whole of the hotel was not clean. Is such a lovely building with great potential. We was so looking forward to a swim and spa. It was not nice having to walk in the gym and the males have to walk back through the gym to go to the pool. And spa, only needs some partitioning that would sort that. The changing rooms were not clean, the showers were not warm at all. In the males the windows were open in the showers so was cold on top of already cold temperature shower. We stayed 4 nights, but went swim and spa once, we didn't want to go again we was so put off. Nothing is clean or checked. We found the sauna door wide open before going in there. It was a disappointment overall. The staff don't seem to know what their doing it's managed poorly. The bfast was nice but the bacon was like it was day before left overs heated up, hard to eat...

Checked in to room 230. Extractor fan constantly running and wouldnt turn off. Went to reception to be told put a bit of paper over it or we can more you to a smaller room ex staff rooms. Maintenance put the paper up and that dulled the noise but not the sound of the generator running it. A/c not working in the whole hotel so its super hot. Tv would go on and off. Breakfast £9.99 for buffet style. Cold sausages, cold hash browns. I had a refund and was almost sick. The swimming pool... nice but could do with a clean and updating but what they dont tell you it you have to oay extras for this. The hotel is clean but run down, staff dont seem to care anymore, probably sick of the same complaints. 1 couple was moved 3 times. Its looks a lovely spa it isnt

Budget room
Budget room, cons radiator made a continual rushing sound when switched on, electric towel rail and shower gel dispenser were broken and the bed was rock hard, room generally dated and was not made up on the second day of our stay. Pros very clean and tidy, good shower, would have got used to the bed if stayed longer, you get what you pay for I only needed to sleep and shower so room overall was not a problem. Would use again in same circumstances
