"Need a path to get in from drive way to house the flood lights didn’t stay on long enough when we went to car and was extremely dark.overall I liked staying here"

"What a peaceful place to visit. Wonderful views of the river, which was mere steps from the house. Had everything we needed for a quiet getaway Thanksgiving. My husband, son and dog enjoyed exploring the river and nearby train tracks. An afternoon at VT was a short drive away. Will be back with our kayaks for warm summer fun. Thanks Frank!"

"After visiting Cozy Doe last year, we knew we would return. We love how comfortable and peaceful it is there. This time we were able to enjoy the screened in porch - a great place to relax and while away an afternoon reading. The bed is amazingly comfortable and I even slept in…something I rarely do! The kitchen is well stocked and I enjoy having a coffee bar. I am already looking forward to our next stay!"

"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."

"Serenity House worked well for our family during VT's spring 2024 graduation. The property is located on a quiet, no wake zone, knob of Claytor Lake. It was the perfect place for fishing and swimming. The home was appropriately advertised. Both the home and decking are older but clean and tidy. The directions were a bit misleading, Waze actually got us there easily. There should be more description of the very small road leading in, the steepness of the driveway and tiny turnaround areas. "We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter's graduation from VCOM. We rented both Claytor Escape and Green Cape Cottage. We enjoyed the kayak, paddle boards and swimming off the dock. The house was clean and well-stocked. Check in was easy and the host was very responsive. And - the front porch of Claytor Escape is wonderful!"
