“Room was fantastic; bed extremely comfortable, hot tub very relaxing. Water in the hot tub needs to be changed more frequently and the room needed a more thorough cleaning, lots of spider webs and the fan threw dust everywhere when we turned it on. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would consider coming back in the future. ”

“Beautiful property! You have access to the trails right next to the ocean and it was the prettiest walk I’ve ever been on. The rooms are well designed with convenience in mind - remote control lighting, outlets, B&O portable speaker, etc etc. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. “Less than half a mile to the sea and Timber Cove Lodge with sweeping coast and sunset views, fire pit, delicious food, drinks, games, and more. Hiked all day at Salt Point state park. Retreated into the woods with our own hot tub. Just perfect.”

“Overall terrific. Chatted with owner and she was very friendly. Only drawbacks were no real food prep area (though I’m sure that was stated on listing ) and a small deck to look out to the ocean Would have been nice. There were a couple of chairs. Would definitely stay again.”

“Since we are advanced students of Chado, this was a perfect place for a too-short retreat. Future guests should be made aware of the extra fees and the 50-yard uphill narrow uneven path between parking and house”

“This was a great spot in the redwoods! The house was clean and well stocked with amenities. The two bedrooms were on the lower (ground) floor, but the living areas and front door were up the flight of stairs. There was a back door for entry at ground level.”

“This property is nice, cute, well maintained and close to the beautiful California Coast. We enjoyed the hot tub and the afternoon sun with ocean breezes. We were hoping to be able to prepare dinner during our stay, but it was not easy with no oven or BBQ. We were able to improvise, but with limited local dinning opportunities fixing our own meals was a challenge. Fortunately for us we found a dinning gem at Anchor Bay Thai. Awesome food and service. The only other challenge was the water……

“Very clean and comfortable, but no coffee. TV remote was a mystery to us, but we finally figured it out. Lovely house with sculptures and other art throughout. Of immense help were the automatic outside lights that came on to guide us up the stairs after dark.”

“Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return.”

“There was no heater in the house and as note in my questionnaire we were all 3 in our 80 and 70 No heat was mentioned This person that kept checking on us Vancasa knew nothing about the house. We did not have TV because there were no instructions. No information sheets about what to do upon checking out . This has never happened to me with a VRBO normally everything is typed out and very easy for our stay. Excellent clean kitchen, with everything you might need to cook with.”
