I asked for a room that wasn't going to be noisy , first night subjected to Kids who running up and down the room and corridor for hours up above me. Second night grown up's shouting and arguing outside swearing - it was shocking. approx 11pm ( Women) lots of children staying the Hotel. Really Bad. I was off site on the second day doing the day , but when I returned to the site there was bouncer watching over an event. Finally. The owners should be ashamed of themselves and the lack of investment in the Hotel ,Staff training, and very poor quality food. . Ive see it all over the last few days. I'd describe the place as miserable , however the lakes are pretty - The Hotel can't get mess that up . Never Again !

I have stayed before and overall find the amenities - staff - and all good ! My room was large comfortable and clean I did report a problem with the huge drapes to be pulled where one had broken hooks ! The main issue of the room though when wanting to relax after a long long day - the TV is so so small up on the wall one need long distance glasses to view ! Final comment I wish by now over all these years there was now much easier access coming off the London side of the motorway to get into the driveway it is a tortuous drive back round and over the motorway ! unless I am missing signs somewhere! But I always enjoy my time at this hotel !

Millie on check in was brilliant, very professional and gave excellent customer service. The hotel and rooms though are another matter. The cleanliness is horrendous - we went through three rooms before finally being able to settle on a fourth room - a whole hour wasted. All rooms had the same issues, needing a deep clean with dust and food particles behind furniture, light fightings, wardrobes, hairs on bedsheets. Tired furnishings and interior design and small tvs. Drainage problem in hotel too, corridors and en-suite smelt uninhabitable. The bar was dreadful too - basic furnishings more like a cafe, uncomfortable seating and cheap, tacky dusty with dead flowers. Even the ‘lake’ was disappointing and the hotel is right next to a motorway. Would have been nice in the 80’s but awful now. Never worth the rate paid.

Great hotel but needs attention
Great hotel but doesn't seem like any attention or maintenence is done to the place. The grounds are lovely and the staff were brilliant. However, the room was very dated with brown decor and brown tiles in the bathroom. The bed base was broken and the matress had springs sticking up so very uncomfortable, especially when 7 months pregnant. The bathroom door also couldn't be closed properly. There were bulbs out in our room and bathroom and the bulbs that did work were very dull. The doors leading out to the grounds was lovely but the dampness and condensation needs to be sorted. The room had 2 large desks but both were very sticky and even looked like the damp had gotten into them. This hotel has potential to be amazing if there was more care and attention to detail.
