Loved the room and comfortable beds. Checking in was somewhat a hassle. I had previously equested online a room at the end of the building, but when we tried to check in around 3:30, nothing was available. The person checking us in put in the request and said to check later. We came back after 4 and got a person at the counter who said she didn't find our request and couldn't see how to do it but went in the back room to speak with her supervisor; came back out and said to check back later. Around 5pm, we stood in line again and got the 2 people, a man and woman at the far end, who were so helpful and funny! They found my request and said that room was available to check in.

Building is very old, flooring buckles under your feet. Almost zero water pressure. Room seemed fairly clean. Good AC. Great, free transportation thru the park.

Excellent location: close to food options, shuttle services and surrounded by trees. The room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. It provided us with a comfortable rest so we could maximize our time exploring the canyon.

Good for a place to sleep. Safe location. Convenience store next to lobby which was a plus. No wifi in the room which I didn’t realize until we got there but we were out and about most of the time. Mattresses were definitely old. Shuttle is near to take you wherever in the park. Overall I’d stay here again for the right price

We enjoyed our trip to the Grand Canyon. We were disappointed that there was zero WIFI in the room. The first day there were no wash cloths, we asked housekeeping but there were none available. The rooms need some TLC. Our shower curtain rod was falling off so it didn’t close all the way.

I loved that the lodge was situated in the forest near the Grand canyon. We watched deer from our window. It was affordable compared to the other lodging available. It was nice having the restaurant and bar nearby. We loved our stay!

Stayed in the East Lodge. Friendly staff, comfy beds, right on the shuttle, decent food at the tavern, shop had everything you could need. Great to catch sunrise at Mather Point.

We had 2 nights here. Beds very comfortable love the nice clean crisp bed linen....the best so far. Would stay here again if we travel here again.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, however the rooms need some renovating. Our bathroom was in a really bad condition with mould. The room was nice however. It was quite noisy as we could hear our neighbours.

Loved the set up of a separate lodge and a main lodge. Room amenities were super. All staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised that once we were connected to the main lodge wifi, we also received it in our room.

Facilities in the room could have been better maintained. Bathtub was severely clogged, tried to dial front desk for assistance but the phone was not even working - scary to think if there had been an emergency. Had to drive in the dark to the front desk, where there was a long queue. Ended up showering in dirty water as the last person in the room to shower that night. For the price of a night here, the room could definitely have been in better shape.

We didn’t realize the blocks of rooms were distant from the lodge with all the amenities. There was NO WIFI in the rooms, only in the main lodge. The rooms were dated. Our towel bar by the sink was broken. You couldn’t walk downstairs and grab a cup of coffee. Breakfast choices were very limited, as were dinner as the restaurant was under renovation. We visited another lodge in the park for dinner the second night, as the choices were so much better, but had to drive there. We would stay in the park again, but not at this lodge.

We really liked the localization of this property. It was quiet and with good access to the South Rim best view & picture spots. The weather was still very cold on that weekend but we had great time staying on this property. We will be back there soon. Thank you.

Classic Parks Dept facility. No frills. Didn’t stay in room, but to sleep. Bed comfortable. Used their extra warm blanket and had allergy issues with it. No frills, but worth it for the location

The front desk staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable. I asked not to be charged graded cs yon fund while booking. They told me to wait till check in to deny. Then I was told that cannot be reversed. The first room I was sent the ac was not working. I had to change the rooms. Otherwise a wonderful facility right in the park. Very clean and safe. I did not have the breakfast do I don’t know how it was. But I highly recommend this place.
