There was extreme humidity when we were there and water was everywhere inside the hotel. The floors were wet in the lobby, halls and elevators. The room was in better shape than the rest of the hotel. After one shower the drain was very slow and the toilet would stop flushing at times but we be fine the next. I’m not sure if it was all due to the water issues going on overall. We would stay here again. The location was great.

Staff are rude. They won’t listen and talk low. Then they speak in Spanish to their coworkers while they were speaking to you. All of them constantly on their phones. The front desk never told me that I had to ask for pool towels. There were none by the pool, but there was a hamper for them. I had three kids with me so of course that ended up being a mess with no pool towels. The room was clean somewhat decently however the bathroom was not. The sink had hairs and stuff coming out from the rim, and the backsplash had something red splattered on it. Possibly blood or liquid medicine who knows. We were given a handicap shower, so the water went everywhere on the floor because there was no lip And the floor tile. We didn’t have enough towels. The whole place just feels dirty. The only thing good about it is the location. Although the day we checked in and walked across the street to the beach, we saw two people drown and die in front of us. Next time we come down that way, I will not stay in Galveston. The money they want for those rooms is ridiculous for what you get. Next time I will stay in Houston or on the outskirts.

The breakfast wasn't all that great. Sausages were always burnt on one side. Eggs were watery on bottom. One dsy the juice machine wasn't working right. Sunday morning staff didn't have it together. Other than those few things it wasn't bad for the price. Good location, easy access to many things.

We enjoyed our stay at the Clarion in Galveston and found our room to be very spacious and extremely clean. The bathroom also was very clean and also the towels too. I loved that a very large amount of body wash, shampoo and conditioner was supplied in the shower for us, not the usual little tiny samples as usually found in most hotels! Not a lot of sitting area or lounge area for us older folk off the foyer to have a cocktail late afternoon but we did find miniature wine bottles and also beer to buy in refrigerated area off there and the receptionist gave us glasses so we could relax! All in all a really good experience and would recommend.

What a disappointment for such a good location. The hallway on the fourth floor had a huge fan running. There was some kind of issue with the building’s air conditioner. The pool was GREEN. And they let a loud party at the pool until after midnight. The room door was swollen to the point I had to shoulder it open. I would only book this hotel for an enemy.

The room smelled of strong cleaning chemicals and the floor in the entry was very slippery I had to hold on do the door. Dirty corners in the shower and outside the shower door, the carpet and sitting chair felt damp. Over substandard property.

I enjoyed our stay but there were some things I was a little disappointed in. I already knew there were no balconies but that would have been great if there were and I wish we didn’t have to pay for $15 a night parking since we were spending $250 a night. 1) Small elevators 2) Small pool 3) The faucet ran in the tub while taking a shower so the water pressure was horrible 4) No shampoo in the bathroom. 5) The complimentary breakfast had watered down orange juice and apple juice 6) The cups used for coffee seeped through the bottom edges 7) The door to our room had a gap between the floor so you could see the light out in the hallway and the hear the the hallway traffic. Overall the room was clean and I was happy with the partial ocean view. The staff was very nice and the location was perfect.

Confusion w my reservation from day one...people kept coming to my room as they were guven the room. At one point housekeeping packed all of mine and my daughters things. All our personal items from the bathroom and all our loose items on night stand, dresser etc. were thriwn into a garbage bag. My wet bathing suit and dresses I had hanging were thrown into my suit case. Once again I went to front desk and they said there was confusion...??? They called me once when I was away to confirm my room #(117) but they couldn't call me before they packed our things...Next complaint is AC...dont know what the ussue is but my room was humid..so humid to the point the door, the floor, the furniture was wet and all our cloths was damp. Wifi seldom ever worked. Everytime I complained no help was offered and no apologies. One young man was the nicest one I believe his name was Danny. He said he would talk to manager about problems and compensation. When I checked out no one knew anything and manager was not available. If this can be passed on I would appreciate it.
